I see you have a review from a couple years ago and you have it linked to your handle. That's a good first step. Doing that also means you now have the Limited Provider VIP, which allows you to use the PM system here, as well as read your reviews.

Here are some general helpful tips:
1) Read the Self Help Center. You can find the link near the top of the page under the red and white life preserver. You should read it all, but pay special attention to the info for providers.
2) Read this newbie board back about 10 or more pages (until you get bored, lol). You will see many questions asked and answered and some are often repeated. You may find that a question you have, has already been answered recently.
3) You can use "search" at the top of the page to search for specific topics, but reset the date range. The default is 30 days, but it is usually better to go back further. (I usually just add a zero or two to search back 300 or 3000 days)
4) if you still have questions, come back here and ask them on the newbie board.
5) post ads on your regional ad board (San Diego?) TER ads are free but they have rules. Read the Provider Ad Posting Guidelines, which can be found in the Self Help Center mentioned earlier.
6) join in discussions on your regional board to get yourself known.
7) you can post photos on the photo only board.

Good luck and have fun!

Feel free to PM me anytime you have a question.

Why would she PM one random monger with questions when she can ask on this board and get a wealth of answers from a lot of knowledgable people on both sides of the hobby?

Because I have noticed during my time posting and responding to posts that the majority of people who get online (in here) a condescending and self righteous and believe that their shit doesn't stink.  Most threads in the general board are usually answered with trolling and ridicule.  I have also gotten some of the best advice/information from providers who have reached out to me via PM.  So I was just trying to lend a helping hand without the BS that comes with the gallery chiming in.

This is not the General Discussion Board, this is the Newbie board where even the worst of us resist the temptation to be snarky, or as you call it "condescending and self righteous"

I would most certainly discourage any young lady just starting out to go PMng random johns for advice. When suggestions are aired publicly there are many experienced vets both male and female who can correct erroneous and downright dangerous advice that is often given out by well meaning, but clueless responders. If the advice is given via PM, there is no way for the newbie to vett said advice for accuracy.

Once again, I implore everyone here, if you don't really know what you are talking about, please don't give out advice you are unsure about.

For the record, Perfect Storm gives out some of the best and most consistent advice posted on this board, and I was the moderator of this board years before you ever heard of TER. We do know of what we speak. This isn't about ego, this is about making sure the newbies that come here get the best possible advice and sending out PMs to random johns that have only been here a couple of years is NOT the way for a young lady to get the best possible advice.

Ok, so I don't know what the disconnect seems to be in relation to what I am typing and how it is being taken. As I said before, I have received some sound advice from providers and hobbyist as well via PM, the overwhelming percentage of advice from the Boards is normally trolling and self righteous.  If you fit that boat then so be it.  I don't think I said "hey come to me for all your questions" what I think i said was feel free to PM me if you have any questions.  Regardless of who you and Perfect Storm think you are or what you were, yours is simply an opinion the same as anyone else's.  Not that I am the end all be all, but I think I am pretty proficient in at least giving my opinion on certain topics, and having seen my fair share of "hookers" I'll stand by my word.  Like i said before, these boards are full of people's opinions, and there is nothing wrong with soliciting an outside opinion in addition to sifting through the opinions of the trolls in the general board as well.

You are hardly the "go to guy" on this board and based on some of the questions you have asked here you really should stick to asking questions, not answering them until you get your bearings here.

Some of us have been doing this for decades and are much better qualified to be giving advice, especially when giving advice in private where there is no opportunity for someone to catch any mistakes that you might make when handing out well meaning but potentially flawed or even dangerous advice.

So to retort, you're going by questions that I have asked on the Newbie Board, meanwhile I literally have hundreds of posts on the General Board, not to mention the City/Porn Star/BDSM Boards?  Bottom line is this, I never professed to be the "go to guy." Credential wise, I have been in this game for 10 plus years, maybe that is not as long as "some of you" have, but it is surely long enough to know a few things about its ins and outs.  And if we are to go tic for tat, then when is a person at level that they no longer seek information? I've read plenty of articles of Doctors, Lawyers, professional whatevers etc seeking information when they have been in their profession 20, 30 plus years.

When a provider, hobbyists or troll has contacted me with their opinion/advice I have taken everything into consideration and with a grain of salt.  So I read what was posted before me, and added to it.  So throwing out fallacies based of perceived judgement because you've only seen 8 questioning posts from me on this board seems to be a bit arrogant.  Last I checked, one person isn't the end all be all of information, and I was only offering my unbiased opinion.

This whole back and forth has taken away from the point of the post/thread and my intention. Which was to welcome a provider new to TER and answer any questions that she may have.

I say "possibility" bc you don't have a track record here for me to judge one way or the other but asking the OP to pm you, without that track record, was reason to call you out.

Listen to PS and GaG on this one. Their experience means a LOT here.

Both have done a Herculean job here over the years trying to keep newbs out of jail and allowing for maximized enjoyment of p4p.

Now something else you may not know but TER frowns on long arguments here so please stop that as well.

If you have a problem with PS or GaG, take it up with them bc and stop taking things so personally.

1)  TER has not been in existence "for decades";

2)  Your arrival at TER in June 2004 was after some of the rest of us.

Since you put up so many posts it may just seem like "decades" to you.
(Watch out:  the Lion-guy may soon catch up to your # of posts and claim he's been here for a century.)

Some of us have indeed been involved in P4P for decades, I saw my first hooker 42 years ago. I know fishbro and I started at about the same time and Perfect Storm has alluded to have been doing "this" (seeing hookers) going back to the 1980's

Is the English language really so tough for some of you to master?

For me it was 1982. I know you and fish started in the 70s. There's a handful of others on TER who have been doing this for decades. In no place in your post (or any previous post for that matter) have I seen you say you have been on TER for decades. Lol.

...as to how this board works so you are not qualified to give anyone advice.

You keep talking about the General Board and the trolling and self-righteousness.  That's not how this board works.  Per TER, everyone has to be nice on this board.  But you obviously haven't been here long enough to learn that so you don't know enough to be in a position to help anyone.

Just because you've received good advice doesn't mean you are able to give good advice.  A student who is learning a subject cannot turn around and immediately become a teacher.  I've been hobbying almost as long as GaG and fish but I still learn new things.

You seem to be resentful of the conduct on the General Board.  Here's some advice that's not in a PM:  if you have delicate sensibilities, you should stay on this board and the Over 60 board.  That's the shallow end of the TER pool.  The General Board and Politics & Religion boards are the deep end of the pool.  You don't seem to be able to tread water, much less swim in the deep end of the pool.
