In the past 15 months or so that I've been back in the biz, only one guy has done this. He even brought a little speaker thingy for his phone that produced higher quality sound than my laptop. I was pretty impressed by his preparation & forethought. :-)

Now, there was another time when my tunes weren't working so my date played his music instead and I was very happy he could do that and was so cool about it.  Just like bringing your own covers "just in case"..... always nice to have a backup plan! ;-)

The only thing I would mention about possible playlists (and this may just be me!) is that I have a tendency to subconsciously match my pace and rhythm to the music.  So unless you want it hard & fast, ix-nay on the death metal!  LMFAO!

do you bring and play your own music playlist at incalls?

depending on their taste in music.

Don't go for anything too radical unless you know they are OK with it.

For example, I would freak out if the list consisted of Paper Lace's greatest hits

Bend it, and the agonizingly insipid The Night Chicago Died.

I bought "The Night Chicago Died" on a 45 rpm record.  Cost me 99 cents, which was 2 weeks allowance.  (My allowance was actually 50 cents a week, and I'm not figuring in sales tax, so it's not exact.)
