An independent is the most discreet situation.

Agencies also scare me as they advertise more and must have records, so that's a concern.  LE probably finds it more rewarding to snare them

I have avoided Asian massage parlors for a variety of reasons but primarily because it seems more risky to incur law enforcement attention. Is that fear real or is it as safe as other using other providers? The reason I ask is that I am going to Honolulu but most of the reviewed providers located there work out of AMPs.

trafficking of illegal aliens and immigration that is going on.

Starting about ten years ago, busts of AMPs in my area of the northeast began, and more or less continues unabated.  I used to love going to AMPs, but now I avoid them.  They also are targets because of enforcement of laws against unlicensed massage, etc.

When comparing AMPs to traditional independent providers, you have to make a distinction between the gal on BP using fake photos and without any reviews to the gals who have lots of reviews on TER over a long period of time and have flawless records.

As far as I know, AMPs might be on a par in terms of risk with the former, but much riskier for sure than the latter

I would of course use TER reviewed AMPs but their neon signs just look like an invitation for a sting to me.

AMPs here are pretty safe. There are maybe one or two AMP busts a year. Considering how many AMPs are here, and how much traffic they get, that is a tiny percentage. When busts do happen, they usually get a couple of the ladies for immigration laws, and sometimes the mamasan gets arrested. I have never heard of monger's being arrested at an AMP. Also, the busted AMPs are usually right back in business the next day, which shows they were not caught for any serious felony violations. I have heard that when monger's happen to be in an AMP during a bust, they are told to get dressed and leave.

You are right in that the AMPs in Honolulu are usually the best mongering option here. GFE, FS, plus a massage and table shower for 200, plus there are not a lot of good indies here. A few years ago (2010-2012) there were some really good indy escorts but they have long moved on and nobody filled the void. We do have some great visitors come through, though, so it depends on the timing of your visit, as to who might be available. If you have VIP, shoot me a PM and I'll help you with more specific info regarding the scene here.

Aloha

I can provide a quick story on this. I used to be a heavy AMP monger in the SoCal area, and armed with a review-board-info-that-I-will-not-name that specializes in AMPs, I checked a place out in NYC. First time I went, it was great. On the 2nd floor, buzzers galore, awesome experience along with table shower. I decided to go back the second day. I was in the room, undressed, talking with the provider, and I heard a huge BANG. I heard feet scuttling, and my provider peeked out into the hallway and said "policia" (she was Columbian in an AMP lol). I freaked the F out. I quickly got clothed, stashed the cash under the sheets. NYPD pulled all the mongers out of the rooms (even the ones in the table showers lol). They took everyone's ID and information down. I make it a point to never bring any ID with me, so I told them I didn't have anything, I was visiting from out of state. They asked for my hotel and room info (I'm assuming to try to trip me up). They scared me with the spiel of "you're in an illegal establishment, people here have sex for money, that's a serious crime in NYC." They ended up taking my picture, and let me go. I imagine it was a funny/interesting sight for the people walking along the street to see 10 johns walk out all at once (fully clothed of course). Anyways, I've been scurred straight ever since, and I stay away from AMPs. They only care about volume, so I think they sometimes compromise safety (they don't space out clients, so it's easy for people get suspicious).

Providers are typically safer, as they know to act so hotel guests/staff don't get suspicious: spacing out clients, loading up on towels and linens, making sure they have turn-down service at a good time, vetting clients, etc.

Anyways, that's my experience with the whole thing, so since then, I've just stayed away from AMPs and AAMPs.
