This may be a stupid question but is there a difference between and escort and a prostitute?

Escort is basically a marketing term that's less salacious sounding than prostitute, and is often used to distinguish between "higher/lower class" prostitutes.

Although this site has an international audience, it seems the majority of members & reviews are in the US.

In most of the US, prostitution is a crime.   So if I were to call myself a "prostitute", or state that I am offering "prostitution", I would be admitting to a criminal act.   ;-)

NOONER: (noun) A sexual encounter during lunch hour, especially one that is illicit.

hey my fee is for time and company...i am always open for other intimate activities, but cannot force someone else to be...for example: someone can go to a therapist, but the therapist cannot make them talk about their feelings...therapist is still getting paid the same

prostitutes are paid for sex only...escorts are paid for their time and company and what happens between consenting adults is private

Tell that to the judge if you ever get busted.

what we do when we are with them.

In any case, I guess it should be mentioned that there is (or maybe was at one time) a profession for a gal (or guy) who would accompany a person to some kind of affair (business dinners, etc.) when their spouse (if they had one) can not make the event so that they would be spared the great embarrassment of being there alone.  These were offered by respectable agencies (used in the narrow sense) and was apparently, standard operating procedure back in the day.  In fact, I do recall being at a business dinner some 40 years ago when a woman sitting at the dais was introduced as a gentleman's "escort".  There was no snickering.

And so, except for the above didactic exercise, essentially all the words mean the same, for the most part.

Tantrikas however, are (or should be) those with training in the art of enhancing the sexual experience using certain practices from the East that prolong the experience and make it more focused and sharper
