Pictures should be a true representation of the lady. A good mix of . . .

types of clothing including casual shorts/top, swimsuit, dress, and lingerie. If you need to hide your face you can use long hair or strategically placed arms, hands, or other clothing. You don't show everything, guys enjoy unwraping the package in person; kind of like Christmas morning.

As far as location, a swimsuit photo should be either poolside or at the beach, lingerie pics should be near or on a bed, etc.

Photos should be current, I'd say within the last 4-6 months unless there has been a significant change in your appearance then they should be more recent than that.

I have plans to have some new photos taken for my website. What do you look for in photos? Do you like professional, glamorous ones? Or prefer impromptu, candid-type shots? I had a girlfriend take the ones I currently have, and while I like them, I was wondering if I shouldn't go more professional with my next set.

Also, what kinds of photos do you think are essential? Lingerie? Jeans? Gown?

And how often should one update her photos?

Thanks in advance for your feedback. :)

I like the glamour and lingerie look, but I also like casual photos in jeans, workout clothes, etc.    One thing that turns me off is excessive skin softening in the post processing of the photos. Your girlfriend did a nice job on your current pictures.

Thank you, JazzmanJ. I appreciate the feedback. :)
Another question- studio or on location? Which is better? or a mix of both?

A variety of dress, a mix of sports clothes, lingerie, fancy clothes.  Some amateur pics, some professional pics, a good mix of them.  Please no photoshopping, they should be a representation of what you look like now.  If you want to hide your face, no problem.  If you want to hide tattoos that would identify you to people you don't want to recognize you, also fine.  But if you do have multiple tattoos, other than just one small one, that should be known to clients ahead of time.  How often to update?  I'd say at least twice a year with the amateur ones.  The pro pics are not cheap, we know, so once a year would be ok with me.

graphic shots of your girly bits are not necessary for me.  Boob shots are fine, a little tease is always good too.

A current mix of photos is best. Professional, impromtu they are all very helpful and appreciated.some photos can tell more about yourself than you think.

I completely understand why most girls don't show their faces. In fact, I'm suprised more of the ladies don't blur them even more. I hate to say that because I am very much a face man. I love a pretty face. I'd take a 9 face with a 7 body over a 7 face and a 9 body every day. Give me a 9-9 and I'm a customer for life.
I like to see a mix of pics. I don't mind the studio shots, some of the shots are incredibly hot! However, I need to see some more amatuer photos to confirm that the studio shots are reasonably accurate. I also like to see a variety of shots so that I can get a better idea of a lady's true shape.  Your photos should be a fair and accurate depiction of your body type.
I do look for reviews from guys that I know have a history of writing accurate reviews. I pay close attention to their description of the provider's features. Many guys will write that the lady looked worse, just like, or better than her photos. It's hard work, it pays nothing, but the research is priceless.

While Professional photos are expensive, and more glam and Hollywood style.  Sometimes the photoshopping is horrible and so very noticeable.  But on the other hand,  candid shots don't often reflect the potential that a lady has.  I have seen the good, the bad, the roastbeef  and the ugly!  A good eye for beauty is really all that the person behind the camera needs.  With the correct angles and lighting there is no need to photoshop or hire a professional photographer.  But beware of what is also in the photo.  The background is as important as what is in the foreground.  Photos taken in really cheap motel rooms is tacky (just my opinion).  And the background of bills, animals, cat litter, and other personal effects really don't need to be photographed for the general public to view.  I can speak from personal experience though, when I updated my photos for my website not to long ago, I hired a professional photographer and then had one of my friends shoot photos of me.  Hands down the non-professional ones are much better.  Either way, keeping them fresh and clean is what is important to me.  I agree that less is so much more ;0)

You touched on something I forgot to mention...the background.  A cluttered background  can really ruin a photo, whether it be of a person, an object, a landscape, etc.  These days anyone with a decent camera can claim they are a professional.

Thanks so much for all of your responses. There is a lot to think about here!

Yes, I have to hide my face- I know too many people in Tampa not to. I also agree that honest is best, and that we should try to give as accurate a photo as possible regarding body type, etc.

I think I will try some glossy glam shots and include more candids, too.

Good points about backgrounds- I sometimes have to giggle at things I see in the backgrounds of pictures. I always look... any pictures. And videos, too. Even on the news.

OK- with that said, any recommendations for local photographers?

Thanks again for the responses. You are all so helpful!

While I have never shot with Click
Studio's I know that they do really great work.  Many girls on this site have used them. I know that I would NEVER recommend EPPhotography, a couple of girls had shoots with him back in February and he was horrible and we had to wait months before receiving our over photoshopped horrible photographs, and we paid $400 for the garbage.    Scott Church is another good one.  There is a site called modelmahem (google it for spelling) and that is a great resource for up and coming photographers in your area.
If anybody can recommend others in Florida please do...

Thank you, Elle! I will check into these options. I have seen the Scott Church guy's photos on a few sites, and he does do nice work. I will need someone who is accustomed to photographing voluptuous women- people who aren't can't bring out the best. I love my curves, but if the photographer doesn't, the pics won't be as nice.

I agree with a lot of the poster's have already said.

Being around for over 5 years, I have different rules I go by...

#1 get pictures all the time to keep my website and theme threads fresh.  It is very important to me that the gents know who they are going to see. Like this month, I wound up with 2 different days getting photos.

#2 I do all kinds of different photos...lingerie, some nudity, jeans, clothing & of course, holiday ideas. My first thought is around the theme threads..again new photos!!

#3 Definitely agree with being careful of your surroundings and what is in the picture.  I just had outdoor photos taken this past weekend and was very careful what was around me.  It is trashy and disgusting looking at some girls pictures and all this clutter is around them.  It really takes away from what you are trying to see and that is the lady!!!

#4 As far as professional versus candid...I have only twice paid for my photos and while they were gorgeous, my little digital camera does a great job.  It is an individual choice to pay for photos and while some are gorgeous there are well known photographers out there that do sooo much airbrushing it doesn't make the lady look like herself.  I would much rather use my own camera and just sharpen the photo!!!  Other than that I will not touch up my photos (well other than face blurring).

#5..While I know alot of gents wish they could see the whole face, to me I would much rather be discrete.  I hear it all the time that most gents really do appreciate the blurring & they know the lady takes her safety seriously.  Plus, for those of us that travel and if you do show your face it is not unheard of that certain people will print out the photos and distribute them to hotels to keep their eyes out for that individual.  Plus, we all have family, friends and maybe a SO/boyfriend that we really don't wish to know what we do.  Unfortunately, this has happened to me in the past and let me tell you it royally stunk!!!

Ultimately you do what you want to do for yourself.  Enjoy it!!! Having photos taken allow you to be adventurous and sexual!!!  Have fun and hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you wish anymore advise.

Thanks, Makenzie! Great detailed answer. I appreciate it!

The sexier and more proactive the pic, the better it is. You're selling your body, among other things, to clients. Make sure your pics advertise your wares to good effect.

I am not coming to see someone with thier clothes on ;)
I do appreciate pics of nipples because I am more particular about them than actual breast size and some can be a turn on or turn off for me.  Ass pics are good also

As far a clothes go I think dresses, lingere and such can show off your classy side and upscale experience which can make you more desirable.

You can't please all the people all the time and these are only my preferences.
