Not sure if this is a bad thing or if I should be cool with the free advertising

You should not be cool with it. The people that stole the picture are trying to rip off escorts or hobbyists. The success they have at meeting their goal will mirror your ability to meet yours if you are not careful. Ask them to take your picture down, in the long run doing so should be in your best interest.

A friend found an ad on Craiglist with my pic for a site I have not registered for.

Apparently there is a profile for me that I never created.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I do belong to EpicDreams, but this was a different site. Who knows

I get that crap all the time, and it makes me very angry. New directories want to make it look like they've got some live bodies in order to lure more, so they'll grab your pic and info - invariably screwing it up; last night I saw one that had my name, phone number and haircolour wrong - without telling you. What I really love is when they post it with outdated rates. Only times I've ever been shorted were by two clients who'd got their info from the same shifty site. Grrrr!

When I asked one site to take down *wrong* info they'd posted without my knowledge or permission, they did...but also sent an email calling me 'a stupid whore with no business sense'. And to think I didn't want such wonderful people benefiting from my efforts!

Karrie, a well reviewed SoCal lady, recently had her pics used by some east coast outfit, without her permission of course. you might want to contact her to find out her first hand experience with being image-cloned by a ROB outfit.
