A photographer friend of mine took a trip to China last year and took quite a few pictures of signs with garbled translations.  He's actually thinking about putting together a book or calendars on this subject, because most of his stuff is hilarious.  Your picture here would easily fit - I cracked up when I saw it!

Happened across this while surfing. It was from one of those collections of humorous/inane/ridiculous Japenglish signs, labels, etc. (Though this one is, of course, Chinese not Japanese.)

While the source was not identified, and there must be hundreds of places called Zapata's Mexican Cantina. But this sign could only be from the famed(?) Zapata's of Heng Shan Road, Shanghai.

After a glance at their website, the source of confusion becomes apparent. So, when in Shanghai, be vewy vewy careful!

As a hobbyist with more than a few years' experience, I've often come away from a "session" confused.  Now I will be able to go to their friendly security guards and sort it out.
