Kimi - I agree.......it shows respect..... yet it sounds very pleasant. :)   My "gentlemen callers,"  I like that - or my "gentlemen friends!"   Lisa of Boston :) *smile*

I hate the word "client" and "customer" when referring to hobbyists. I call you guys my friends. Men what do you like being called? Does the word "client" make you uneasy or you don't care what you are called as long as you are called? lol

I have no problem with client or customer.  That's what we are.  I just read another in a long line of posts about what do you do when you run into a provider in a public setting.  The accepted answer is you do or say nothing that would give away that you know each other.  Is that the way you would treat a "friend"?  Of course not.  Even though this is an intimate business, it is still a business.  Call me either, just return my calls!

Friends?  I've heard the term, but don't really understand.  Oh yeah, but didn't that show end?

or "Service Provider"
Hate all of those.

You can call me "my hot Latino Lover"  ...I've always wanted to be called that.  (Particularly because I'm a very white Minnesotan)

Seriously, I don't know.  It needs a new word.
Something that suggests exploring the sexual journey but still be able to be said on TV.

"This is my hiking partner"
"This is my Road Buddy"
"This is my Chauffer"
"He's my Supercalifragilisticexpealidous"

I fancy myself as one and always liked the term.

I also hate provider or any other variation.  I always say lady or date.  It is appropriate.

Mr. hottest, sexiest, studliest stud of all time!

Mr. "I'm retiring because no one else can match you" guy.

I've always liked to refer to my visitors as Gentlemen Callers.

It just sounds so pleasant.

The important thing is you do return our calls and e-mails.  "Client" when we are not with you is appropriate.  "Sweetie", "honey", "lover boy", etc. all work when we are together.

e-mail replies, please prove read them before you hit the "send" button. It's good to be called honey but only if the feeling is mutual.

I like being referred to as a hobby friend.  For most of us we are friends but not really friends in the true sense of the word. Client is too aloof and sterile and does not seem to fit with the physical intimacy of the hobby relationship.
