END OF MESSAGE

I know I don't post often enough to be considered part of the family.
But anyone who knows me well knows that I dream of living in a faster paced more exciting local. Well, I finally bit the bullet and am pulling up my Florida stakes for good. This weekend I signed a lease for an apartment in Las Vegas. I will be renting out my incall (just in case anyone out there is interested), and making the move west. I have lived in Florida for more than 30 years and I don't want this to be the only place I've ever lived. I am leaving everything but half my clothes behind and making a fresh start. It is very exciting!

Take care and fare the well.
Much love,

It was very last minute since I cared for my mom and she needed 24 hour care from a hospital stay. Looking at South Florida nursing homes left much to be desired from what I could afford but In the Orlando area there where more superior rated facilities available. Her move was an overnight choice and I followed within the week with much dismay.

Missed the beach which i'm sure you will to Heather. Night life here in Orlando was not all that great and at the time almost no way to advertise was available. You won't have that problem and being the new girl in Vegas you should be busy with the locals. Plenty of nightlife for fun when your not busy and i'm sure since Vegas is the Convention Capital for many lots of influx. Vegas has their  slow times though just as Florida. I think your first year there you won't have a shortage of gentlemen suitors.

PS : I wouldn't go back to live in South Florida again but enjoy my visits but Vegas has been one of my favorite places for years. Good luck and you will be missed by many.

i did the same thing when i came here to south florida from virginia four years ago.  junior was finally on her own and in her third year of college.  i was burnt out on my corporate career.  i wanted more, i wanted different, i wanted to do whatever *I* wanted to do!  so i held a series of garage sales, by the end of which i was practically GIVING away things i'd said i'd never part with - what didn't fit in the car didn't get to come along!  long story short...here i am!  my life is exactly what i want it to be, and that in itself is AWESOME.  lots of people tell me they envy my lifestyle; i'm carefree, stress-free, footloose and fancy-free.  i'll tell you what...if that was my mid-life crisis, i should have done it when i was much younger - LMAO!!!

OMG! I think it is. My daughter is in her 3rd year of college and it's time for her to have a little more distance.
I also am "paring it down" to as little as possible. I have things that I have been holding on to since high school that are going curb-side soon.

how exciting it's going to be for you.
Im so glad to know I've spent some wonderful moments and  drinking goose with you in the past. I will be sure to contact you  when I make it out to Vegas
Enjoy!

Best wishes in your new venture Heather.. You will surely be missed in Tampa.. I too have been in FL 34 of my 48 years and am ready for a big change but I have an elderly mother to assist and contend with for now.. You are the 2nd provider in a week to announce relocation to Vegas!!! You all will be jump starting the ecomony out there!!!!

Cheers Heather!! You've got what it takes and you've made the right decision. I've moved from Orlando to San Francisco to Los Angeles (with a lot of partying in Vegas in between!!) to New York to Tampa and am thinking of kicking up my heels again! You'll love yourself and your new life and moving across the country to Vegas will be the best the most invigorating thing you'll ever do for yourself.

And about the family thing - I think you are by sheer longevity in the business my darling!

And keep your earnings away from the tables.

We met a while ago but never.... well you know!

Enjoy and it nice to know you are there.

You're much too young looking to be mid-life.

I guess that I will have to plan my long delayed trip to Tampa for later this month.  Though I'm sure we will continue to get together for "special occassions" as we always have.

Florida's loss is Vegas's gain.

Best of Luck.

It figures that just as I get here you have to go. But I love Vegas (we met there a couple of times while I was living in CA) and this will give me a good reason to go back. :)

I want to come to your garage sale. :)

Love you!

People like you inspire me. I quit a successful career in my mid twenties. Big change from earning big bucks to living off the GI Bill and part-time jobs to pay for college. It turned out well for me. I earned 3 degrees in four years, one a Masters. Got a job teaching in a jr college, during which time I earned two more degrees, one a doctorate. I'm now retired with a good secure pension and with great health benefits. All because I took a risky leap at one point in my life to pursue something better, with no guarantee of success. I hope your leap will give you everything you hope for--and more.

I still remember that trip to Vegas a few years ago for EWS2...you were in a couple of those photos with Sexy Toni and me...with Lana.  Best of luck in your move.  I'm sure you'll still making pilgrimages to NYC...
:)

This will be such an exciting move for you. Enjoy your new beginnings and enjoy life to the fullest. We only go around once. Remember it takes about 3 months to get use to being in a new place. I moved here almost 10 years ago. It took me awhile to get use to it. Now I love it! I can see myself moving in a few years too. Keep us posted on how things are going for you! Hugs, Mermaid Jade

You will be greatly missed by many in Florida, but I'm sure you will have a wonderful new chapter in your life out in Vegas.

Wish you the best, come back and see us someday.

Congratulations on your new venture. I wish all the best in the world!  Having been there myself, picking up and moving to Vegas for a year after a lifetime in FL, there is no better experience. You will ROCK! Enjoy each an every second of it! Vegas (and you) will never be the same. Enjoy!

Be well, God bless & best of luck!
