The Hotel is very nice if your planning on staying in your room the entire trip .... it's one hell of a walk to get to the pool ... The rooms at Mandalay are also very nice so I can't see staying at The Hotel unless you've got extra cash to burn or your really trying to impress someone .. I'd would go with a room up grade at Mandalay first .... my .02
I'm coming to Vegas in a few weeks with friends, and
one of them has heard really good things about the
"THEHotel" at Mandalay Bay (that seems to be the way
they write it on the website, not my idea)...
Anybody heard anything good/bad about this place??

I've stayed there. Very nice. Gorgeous, big rooms with seperate bedroom. Modern furnishings, flat screens everywhere. High speed internet, fax, etc.
Long hike to the pool, however.
Also mucho dinero!!!!!!

Also the hotel is a the very end of the strip right by the airport. So if you want to have any fun at the rest of the strip you will need a car either your own or rental.
I just got back from Vegas tonight Had a wonderful time ...but glad to be back home, Well the wallet is really glad i am back home. Enjoy your trip
THEHotel is very nice with probably the best rooms in LV unless you get a large suite at one of the other hotels. Providers like it becuase access is thru a garage, they don't have to walk thru the casino to get to the elevators, and the hotel access is relatively discreet.
Service is above average but not as good as Bellagio or other high end hotels.
Stayed there several times. The rooms are really nice, morning buffet fantastic, and there are some restaurant / bars which are fine too. And the pool is one of the nicest in Vegas. I am going this summer to Vegas, looked first at the rooms available and the prizes at the Mandalay. And the prizes has gone up nearly double the prize. So now it's too expensive, changed the hotel to a more pricey one.
