Of the four, three are just a hassle. You have the upsell, the grab and dash and lastly the bait n switch.

The one you never want to experience is being robbed.

Where can I post info on a Rip off

If you actually met the ROB, such as a cash and dash, you can post a rip off review of her, but many rip offs involve women who you never actually ever get to meet, such as getting a deposit from you and then disappearing with your money, in which case posting a review is not allowed under TER rules. In those cases the best you can do is to post a warning on your regional board.

I am sorry you got ripped off, if you could be a bit more specific, I am sure we can be of a bit more help to you.

Sadly I had to deal with a grab and dash situation early last month. Hesitant to write a review since she's got my info. She posted a visiting ad while I was traveling. Haven't seen another ad from her since.

There were a number of flags that I should have paid more attention to, but didn't.

At least too much information if doing so prevents you from speaking out if something like this ever happens.

I know I am being Captain Obvious here, but the newbies should take a lesson from what happened to you and put a lot of thought into just how much personal information they should be willing to provide in order to see some of the more stringent screeners.

Yes it sucks both getting ripped off and getting blue balls at the very same time. but it does happen from time to time to those of us who don't stick strictly to the "well reviewed TER providers" and even then, it's not a 100% guarantee it will never happen.

I provided just enough to pass her screening, but once they have it you are now in a vulnerable position.

Here are the flags I should have picked up on. 3 reviews, all fairly old. Two of three where done by individuals who only generated that one review. While she did have ad history on other sites, they were months old. Her profile info didn't match her website info. I took a chance and got burned. It happens.

There are plenty of cases of "established hobbyists" misbehaving and ladies being afraid to report that bad behavior for fear of a retaliatory review. At least thorough screening levels the playing field a bit (obviously I'm not condoning blackmail or anything, it's just a matter of people on both sides of the transaction having some accountability, which will typically make them think twice before pulling any bullshit). People tend to behave when they know that their reputations are potentially at stake.

Besides, I certainly wouldn't consider the chick in Camper's case "well reviewed."

Yes, sadly it does goes both ways. While we have the ability to review, the damage to the hobbyist can be significant.

You're correct, she was not well reviewed and her ad history had significant gaps of time. I took a chance and relearned a lesson. Her website no longer works, no new ads that I've seen. So who knows if she's done this to others. Still hesitant about writing a review, but I may change my mind..
