If you're looking for a risk-free activity, this ain't it. But I'll wager your odds of getting injured in an auto accident driving to see a well-reviewed provider are greater than your getting into LE trouble by seeing that provider. And you can greatly reduce the risk of a rip-off by using resources like TER. Note that many of the Rip-off providers have more than one such review. Simple research could have saved many from getting burned.

reviews about them or had any posted by them. Just because she only has 2-3 reviews is not necessarily a big red flag. Like others have told you, do the research on her. Check the pics, phone number, even PM some of her reviewers. In short, do anything to ensure that she is legit.
I'm sure that any situation that you can think of, it has happened to someone sometime. This is a risky business not only for the providers, but for their clients as well. That's why they screen, and why we do our research on them.
