Anyway, dental dams do provide a safety barrier for daty, but they are not popular and very rarely used.As I research the hobby, I have learned that dental dams provide a level of protection against STDs when DATY. But, when I read reviews I never see "we put on a cover" when DATY, as they normally do for Cg or MISH.
Ladies, do you offer or encourage dental dams to your gentlemen? Do they make you feel safer, and does the dental dam decrease your pleasure? And do you feel your risk is lessened if a gentleman uses one?
Gentlemen, do you ever insist on using one? Or, if you thought you didn't want to use one then see or smell something you were not expecting, would you then insist on one.
Not sure the etiquette regarding dental dams since these are not discussed much and not sure if a provider would be offended if someone insists on "damming it up" for DATY.
A provider *should* not take it personally unless of course you announce that something smells fishy so you're gonna go with rubber. Just explain that you are risk averse for STDs. If she does take offense, then-- fuck her! 
To answer your specific question, no I never insist on using a dental dam. I guess that makes me narrow minded because honestly I never tried one. But I did lick a balloon once and it did not make me feel sexy.

I for one choose not to use a dental dam nor do I ask a provider to use one. If a provider wants to (I have never run across one who asked) I would of course obey her request. As far DATY I'm very particular with whom I allow to dine. If for DATY I have to tell you to use a dental dam most likely we are not going to continue the date.
