I am a "mature category" tall, statuesque woman. Due to certain reactions, I am now keeping an eye out for those whose histories show a pronounced preference for types that are distinctly different from myself.
If the majority of the gentleman's OKs, Whitelists, or reviews are ladies who are, say, under 25? I'll pass.
Same thing if they're all spinners, or Asians, or what-have-you. Seeing a provider who is so far outside of your usual type can set us both up for disappointment. Not always, but I'd rather not take that risk.
I'm also now looking at aspects other than the purely physical. That is, if the client in question appears to usually go for ladies with a more extensive menu than my own. And/or are more of a PSE than a GFE.
Again, this may be a recipe for failure.
As to how many OKs or Whitelists a guy has? I really couldn't care less. Now, if his communications come off as super-jaded then that will be a factor. While I don't mind being with someone who's been around the block as many times as I have, I've found that the been-there-done-that-and-you're-really-gonna-have-to-show-me-something-special-to-impress-ME attitude these men often have does not bring out the best in me. Again, the wisest course of action for both of us is to just not go there.

This is kind of giving me a new perspective on looking at things. Until now, I have always gone with the thought of if a hobbyist is making contact, something drew their attention. I can see how the things you're pointing out could cause potential issues though. Thank you for your viewpoint.

My ads & site say that I'm taller than average, the height on my TER profile is accurate yet still men are very surprised when I open the door and am over 6ft tall in my heels. Either they haven't really read my stats, or they assume that I'm talking about my height with heels on. LOL.
Lately, I've met several gentlemen who chose to see me either due to my postings or the buzz they've heard about me. And they disregard the fact that I'm really not what they usually like.
After having less-than-stellar experiences with such clients, I decided to take a closer look at their histories and preferences.
And point out to them that I'm not PSE, or that I'm a half-foot taller than every other woman they've seen, or 15 years older than all their OKs...... whatever the case may be.
Guess what? More than half the time they realize that I'm really not for them. They just got a little swept away and didn't stop to think.

That may be in your case that they jump on the visual and do not feel they need to do more research. I my case my best overall experiences have been with those listed as 30 to 40 and I will not schedule with anyone that will not ADMITT to at least 26 in her profile. Some great ones above 40 also.
I do not seek out taller women but looking back after reading this thread find that the short providers are in the minority.
I am not short myself so that may be the reason that I am not uncomfortable with the 5'10" lady and come to think about it that height usually comes with long legs and the heels only enhance them.
That being said my last date might have needed heels to make five foot.
In general ( my own experience) I have found this age segment to the more professional in everything from communication, self confidence, and being on time which are all sexy.
When earlier in my hobby career I did see some of the younger hard bodies and was often left with the feeling after a 45 minute hour that they were doing me the favor.
As an older client I Respect that these providers will see me and make me feel for the hour that we are both enjoying this moment in time together.

Myself for instance. I rarely book with women over thirty and a huge percentage of the women I see in the USA are Asian. I am deliberately selective of which women I ask for okays from. About half of my okays are from Asian women and the other half are from White, Latina, and Ebony ladies. I also only have a couple of okays from women over thirty.
The other thing I do is I consciously limit the number of okays I receive, I keep maybe a couple of dozen okays from current and active providers, and I add them as I lose reviews from active providers to attrition. I don't want hundreds of okays as some women don't want to see "serial hobbyists" or men who have seen thousands of different women. I do however want recent okays so the women I see can feel secure in my references. I would estimate I add about one new okay a month, just to keep current, and I never ask for an okay from a woman too far outside my "type"
So yes, obviously I believe a lot of women read our reviews and okays to get a feeling about each guy they are contemplating seeing as a client to make sure there isn't any square peg, round hole issues.
I DO have a preference in the providers I wish to see but in the last few months I have noticed that I have been opening myself up to experience and appreciate more. My goto preference is the spinner type or at least slender, athletic girl-next-door type with not necessarily any age requirement.
As long as she can carry a conversation, has a sense of humor and participates as though its a date and not a job then I'm game.

But I pay attention to whom they've seen in the past. Chances are that if the gentlemen saw someone I know does BBFS I probably won't see him. It's a health thing to me. Other than that I don't pay attention, he's seeing my pictures and my video (which you can't edit a video as far as taking weight off or adding it ect...,) then I'm good. I like to explore and learn from him what he likes. Everyone is different and all encounters are different 
so with that in mind I don't care what he's dating profile is.
