Lots of good advice so far. Two to tango?

Lots of good advice so far.  The mentoring could be very helpful but, as mentioned, do your homework first.

I have noticed several established ladies mentioning duo sessions with "a new friend, but she has no reviews yet" kind of stuff.  I'm thinking of a few ads like this in the NYC area.

Clearly, the first thing you would have to do is establish a trusting relationship with an established provider in your area.  The idea is that she would then be able to introduce you to established, trustworthy clients of hers in a doubles session with the high likelihood that that client would review you in the doubles session and/or see you alone on another occasion and write a solo review.

Now, in the case of one NY ad, it specifically said something like, "2nd girl optional, no extra fee. She is new and can participate as little (voyeur) or as much as you like." But usually, there is a duo fee. Your Provider mentor is taking a risk that you will not disappoint her established clients who trust her judgement.  Be prepared to accept a non-50-50 split.

I wouldn't START with this suggestion, but just something to think about as other options begin to play out

OK so by my subject line I am new. I just don't know where to start. I need any and all advice on how to get started. please!!! what is safe to post in a ad? what isn't safe? How do you help a man to feel comfortable and safe to see you when you haven't seen anybody to be reviewed yet? what is a 2 call system? how do you do a Le check? I am super excited to get started in this new adventure. But, I want to do it it the right way. Is their such a thing as the right way? lol. Thank you all that are willing to help with your advice and information

But fear not, we're here to help, so (rolling up my sleeves):

1.  Start by finding the Self Help/Newbie Manual that is linked on this page.  (Look for the red and white life preserver.) It is chock full on information on how to use TER and the hobby in general.  Read it very thoroughly, and then come back with questions you might have on it.

2.  Your ad should contain information to help the client meet you and to make them want to see you.  Do not list your menu, but you can list prices, dates of availability, how to best reach you, what you require for screening, and if possible, a nice photo of you.  Don't go on and on, but do be comprehensive.  If you have a website or ad site, give a link to it, but be sure you read up in The Self Help Manual on what is required on your site (TER interactive Logo on first or second page, for example.)

3.  A two-call system is where the provider asks the client to call her from a certain location nearby her home just prior to the actual date so she knows he is for real and in the neighborhood.  Often the gal will ask the guy to be somewhere where she can see him from her window, for example.

4.  Forget the LE check.  It's totally worthless and puts guys off anyways.  LE can grab your crotch and vice versa and it doesn't amount to anything.

5.  Yes, there is a right way and a wrong way.  Choose the former and you'll be OK.

I hope this helps.

she certainly has one of the most knowledgeable helping her in you mr.fisher

another question? what is a escort mall? please and thank you

A website that advertises many different providers. The providers may be independent or agency, and may or may not be associated with each other, or with the mall.

I was kinda thinking that might be it. Just needed to make sure thank you

First of all, take and a deep breath and relax a bit. Let's go question by question...

1-2) There are several ways to advertise on TER such as the regional boards, ad boards, and photo only (general boards). I would take a look at the ads that are already there and decide what works best for you. I'm sure the ladies on TER can help you figure out what is and isn't safe to post. I suggest getting a website up and running. This will allow you to advertise yourself more effectively and to list any rules you may have.

3) As a newbie hobbyist, I can only tell you my perspective on safety and comfortability. Someone already mentioned in another post that the best strategy for a new provider is to be patient and keep advertising. I suggest checking out verification websites such as P411, RS2K, Date-check, etc... Be upfront about what you expect with screening (work verification, references, photo ID, etc..). Any smart hobbyist understands the value of screening and it makes me feel comfortable and safe when a provider cares about her safety. Once you start getting responses, the best thing to do is to be prompt, organized, and friendly. Confirmation of upcoming dates is highly recommended. A few playful or teasing emails and texts won't hurt either. Making a client feel safe and comfortable once you both are together is another matter completely... Personally, I enjoy someone laid back, humorous, and genuine.

4) Two call system is explained by mrfisher.

5) Verification before a meeting (see answer 3) is best way to screen for LE. No screening can be 100% effective. Upon arrival, LE check normally involves checking ID of client, although this may not be normal practice and a turnoff as mentioned by mrfisher.  NEVER EVER take money handed to you while discussing the exchange of services. I would end the date immediately if this happens. A knowledgeable hobbyist (even a newbie like me) will place the donation in an unsealed envelope and place it in the bathroom or another obvious location.

6) I'm not sure if there is a right way to be a provider. Every provider has their own style and approach. It will likely take time to create your brand. However, there is a correct way to be safe and marketable. Once again, the ladies of TER will have helpful advice.

Good luck with your future endeavors and hopefully other people will chime in with more helpful info.

Im new also ive been doing this for 3 months almost and I know a lot of your questions were already answered but definitely focus on building a website that shows your personality and who you are and  clear pictures with no clutter in the background as professional as you can do until you can get some that are professionally done if you haven't already. Just be you and don't try to emulate exactly what you see other providers doing. screening screening screening and more screening. you can use Rs 2k or you can use date check. There is also p411

Biggest advice never never skip out on screening because you need the money. I just learned that the hard way because I'm doing this full time as a newbie and has been very slow at certain points just two days ago I decided not to screen a client so that I could get quick money and ended up getting raped! Theres a lot if screening tools out there so please get farniliar with them! to become a membe on some you do need reviews so I haven't been able to get on p411 myself but it is an option. I feel you about the reviews as well because I don't have many reviews and when I had absolutely none I would get asked why I don't. and I would just try to show my online presence and tell the client to look up my name you can see me on every site out there and also asking if some of my current clients will give a reference.

Above all be safe!! Be you! And have fun!

It's great to see the fellas giving you so much info and being helpful/supportive.

Do you know any other providers local to your area?  You can try networking and getting to know someone as it's always good to be in touch with other ladies. I have mentors who guided me through the startup process and continue to be resources for me (I've been a provider for almost one year). Once I had a couple reviews and a provider who would vouch for me, P411 accepted me. Gina, who runs P411, is very helpful. You can write her and she will answer any questions pertaining to accepting you as a provider on her site. Just be patient with your advertising and continue doing research. It's great that you are asking questions.

Remember, safety first always.  Don't compromise screening for money. VerifyHim is a great extra tool and costs $10 a month. It provides resources for phone tracing, blacklist searches, email screening, etc.  The method I most prefer is two recent (6 months or sooner) provider references from established, reviewed providers.  I also check that those reviewing the providers giving the references have reviewed other established ladies.  Always follow your intuition and if someone seems to be unaware of boundaries and safety in emails, they probably will be in person as well.

In regards to how you treat clients... I try to just be myself, find a connection as early on as possible, and go to lengths to help my client feel comfortable sharing himself with me.  The financial gain is appealing but, during my visits, it goes out of my head and I focus on how the person I'm with can have the most meaningful and valuable experience.  Every client seeks something different and that is what has worked for me.  The general consensus I've come by is be authentic and real while still providing a service.

Let me know if you have any questions and good luck!  I hope this was helpful.

I do not recall the following topic being mentioned in any of the many provider "help me" threads, probably because a new provider has already joined here with some name.

Desireedoll:  I just searched TER's database for the entire USA and that name does not appear in any provider profiles (which go back to 1999, if I recall correctly).  So if you use that name in other ads (you will need to have a TER-acceptable ad link in a review posted by your first TER-reviewer) you will be off to a good start.

Other thoughts on provider names:

1)  Stick with one name.  Some gals, normally newbies, use different names in ads at different sites, thinking that will help them know what ads guys saw.  In my opinion, that just creates confusion and questions in guys's minds (such as, "is she trying to avoid bad reviews by changing names?").  If you want to know, ask guys what ads they saw.  They may not remember, but if you are getting above-average TER reviews, those should be the source of a lot of clients (especially if you offfer a GFE menu) so it won't really matter how they "find" you.

2)  The past few years many women have adopted two names to reduce the chance of confusion with other gals who uses the same first name.  (There are probably a number of gals using "Desiree" but I'm not going to check now.)  Using "Desiree Doll" would give you two names, but your putting a space in between the two "D" words probably does not matter.

3)  A few gals who know they want to do some travelling as a provider use a name with their home location, which may help guys in other towns remember who she is.  One downside is that if you move, that might create some confusion: e.g., "Desiree Houston" moving to NYC and then advertising there most of the time.

4)  If you decided to use another name than "desireedoll" it should not be a big problem.  There are a number of providers whose TER-handle is different than their TER-profile name.

A non-related suggestion:  Pay for at least a month of VIP (I suggest three months) now before a guy submits a TER review.  That way you can read the full reviews of gals, starting with those in your area.  That will give you a solid understanding of what the gals who get 8-10's in performance do versus those gals whose scores are 3-5.  The gals who consistently score 8 and above are often able to ask for higher donations than those whose scores are lower).

Also, having VIP will allow you to see what prices other providers are asking.

Finally, you will be able to use the PM system here immediately.  (After you receive a review here you can use the "contact us" button in the lower right and ask TER to link your TER-name to your reviews, which will then give you "limited Provider VIP", which does include use of the PM system.)

oh you made me laugh. I am already paying for VIP. I am a very important person. thank you for the advice on the name. I did look at a lot of sights to see if that name was used before I decided on it. Plus it feels good to say it.

reading the self help center will answer many of your questions.  You can always come back here and ask if there is something you are not sure of.

Preferred 411 and DateCheck are the 2 widely used verification sites you can join.  Post your weekly ad on your local regional board, get active on it by replying to threads, and post daily pics to the photo board.  Look around your local regional ad board to decide if your rates are reasonable for your area.  You don't want to overprice yourself to start out.  If you start having success, you can always raise your rates later on.

...can be answered by reading this forum, the Self Help Center (see life preserver at the top of the page) and by reading reviews.

So read, read, read, read and then read some more. Then pay for VIP and read, read, read reviews.
