Blacklisting is a very bad idea.

I'd hate to see it get started because it could get out of control.  All it takes is one vindictive client or provider. A lot of times, providers or clients have a reasonable excuse for not showing up and getting blacklisted would be unfair.

Even more troubling is the fact that someone suggested using a reverse directory to call a client's office and "out" him as a user of a provider's services.  This will only suppress the industry in general because client's will be afraid of any abuse of this tactic and not give out numbers or other potential clients might just steer clear of providers all together. Who is to set the criteria that justifies someone becomes blacklisted?  What if a client gets to a provider's place and she is nothing like she said or the way she appears in the photo and the client is justified in leaving.  Does that qualify as a point against him.  I could see him racking up a lot of points against himself if he leaves everytime a provider doesn't look like her photo, considering how many providers fake photos.  Consequently, it wouldn't be fair to black list him.

While it is unpleasant and a waste of time, as I see it, flakes and no-shows are just part of the business that we all have to deal with on both sides of the equation.  In any business, there is that built-in cost of doing business, whether it be reatail loss of inventory, or an attorney who never gets paid by his client.

I think the process works fine as it is.  Word of mouth about  tends to alert everyone as to who the real flakes and no-shows, both clients and providers.

Blacklisting didn't work during the Joseph McCarthy era and only led to devastating consequences and it won't work now.

BEST THING TO DO IS TO LET HIM KNOW WHERE THE CLOSEST PSYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL IS, SO HE CAN GET THE HELP HE SO BADLY NEEDS.

best way to handle him and people like him is to ask for his full address.. If its unlisted then ask  him can i have your down stairs doormans number to validate your address or your account number at con edison.. office info is also a good resorce..If we all do our job and make sure every detail checks out it wastes very little time. And weeds out these creaps fast..
I am in the early stages of building a free web site for providers and agencies for black listed clients and girls. This will contain many names such as MR Ferragano on east 68th street and tips on how to avoid the freaks..
Any one interested in sending on bad client or girls lists please send them to
[email protected]
It takes all off us to pitch in and reduce these freaks And i am needing the coorperation of all to take a little time to send on names and numbers and info..

Mandy,
It seems like this guy needs to have his time wasted also. Why not try doing a reverse directory look up of his work number to see where he works? From there, try to get a general number to his work. Then, call and ask whoever answers the phone for him and identify yourself as the escort that he booked an appointment with. If the call does end up getting transfered to him, he will be so embarassed that I don't think he would bother you again.
