You're not supposed to put a link to your site when you start a thread.  You can when you reply to a post, though, even if you are replying to your own post.  This is a mistake that lots of ladies who are new here make, no biggie, just be aware of it.  :-)

Yes, many ladies have prepaid phones (a TracPhone is a prepaid phone but not all prepaid phones are TracPhones; that is a particular brand, that's all)   This is for anonymity from anyone who might be trying to either find out your real info, or for those in your personal life who just like to get nosy.

Many clients have prepaid (burn) phones too, and both hobbyists and providers alike tend to purchase prepaid refill cards for them.  This is mainly to avoid leaving an electronic breadcrumb trail back to the real you.

Some ad sites do not accept visa gift cards for payments and have no alternate payment method.  So you have to use a credit card with those places..... some ladies get favorite clients to pay it for them, others simply don't use those sites, and then there's providers like me who are willing to accept some risk and just pay for it with our own credit cards.

If you're staying at hotels, even if you pay cash, almost all hotels require a credit card for "incidentals" and they generally won't take a gift card.  Some few places will still accept a cash deposit, but you have to show ID to check-in so at that point, I really think it doesn't matter.  But that's just me and my personal comfort level..... you have to find your own balance.

Listen to others' advice, but decide for yourself how much risk you are willing to accept and whether the inconvenience of all this subterfuge works, and makes sense, for you.  Only you can decide that. :-)

Hi there everyone I am new to the TER world and somewhat new to the provider world as well. I tried to search this topic on the board and was not successful in finding my exact question.  So bear with me......When I first started being serious about my work a few months ago I would not put my phone number on certain ads and ask to only be emailed. After some light verification and whatnot I would give the client a call and after that point we would have each others numbers. I would do this just so that my number was not listed anywhere. Now that I have gone on to add myself to practically any site out there some of which require phone numbers I figured it wouldn't hurt especially if it was a lesser known site. Now that I have googled my phone number it is two pages of all my escort ads and a guy that I was talking to (personally, not a client) look me up online as well and found all of my escorting as... No shame in my game but for a square job or any potential background checks in the future I'm seeing that listing my personal phone number was probably not a good move. I have heard a lot about track phones and what not and I would just like to know do all providers have a special tracfone or untraceable number. I am now assuming so... I have also heard many people talk about prepaid cards to list as an to add credits to hobbyist / provider sites. That is also something that I have never thought about as I have used my credit card for several transactions involving my profession. Is the main reason for the discretion concerning law enforcement? Or just your own personal life? And how would I go about becoming more anonymous in my work? Thanks again and sorry about the long post any input is greatly appreciated but most especially from other providers concerning phones / phone numbers. Thank you!!

Oh okay well that's good to know about the link... I think what I'm mainly concerned about seems to be the phone number and as far as credit cards and whatnot I'm really not that concerned. What is a good tracfone or other prepaid phone that is a good deal? And what should I look for or be aware of in one of these phones I'm not really familiar. Thanks!

to ask first is does the phone company I am considering have good coverage where I live? Also, you will probably want a smart phone phone so you can check emails from your phone as well as make and receive calls.

I just switched to Tracfone a few months ago from Virgin Mobile. Tracfone gives you a longer period of time to use the minutes on your phone. I would think with a lady in this biz, this is not a big deal since they are using their phone way more than most hobbyists do.

Many successful providers do NOT put the phone number in ads because they don't want calls at 2am when the bars close.

Lastly, this post is where you could have put a link to your site since you replied to the OP.

A "burner" type phone that is separate from your RL phone is virtually a necessity in this world.  It offers several advantages to both hobbyists and providers the most important of which is:  Keep hobby and RL separate (you've learned this one) and easily discard if needed.  The other benefits simply support this concept. Burners let you: turn off your #when you're not working.  Keep your hobby calls/texts/emails separate from a SO, family, friends, etc.  You can fairly easily abandon the phone # in a BSC/stalker situation.

Regarding the TracFone specific brand:  This is a popular brand of prepaid/pay as you go phone and generally I think it's the best choice.  You can buy the phones at Best Buy for cash and you can buy the refill cards at any Walgreens, CVS, Target, etc. for cash as well.  You can activate, reactivate and reload without an account or filling in any personal info (completely anonymous).  For $20 you can get 90 days of service with several hundred minutes and for $99 you can get 1-year and like 1000+ minutes.

My only recommendation on the TracFones is to spend a little more $ and get a smartphone model that runs Android.  I bought a $39 LG 305 smartphone not realizing it doesn't run Android and the no-name LG operating system is painfully frustrating.  Also, the touchscreen is not the best quality.  I wish I spent a few more dollars and got a slightly better phone that was easier to use/text/email on.

For Christ sake, break up these long ass paragraphs to make it easier for people who want to help. Simply hit return after a few sentences and space them.

I have been using an app called Hushed on my regular phone for over a year. For $29 you get a fake, untraceable phone number from any area code in the US. It also gives you texting capacity and a unique ring tone that lets you know some one is calling you. You don't need the inconvenience and cost of a burner phone.

There's a lot of advantages to a separate phone that is SHUT OFF when you are not taking calls.   I would change your RL phone number to break the tracking on your previous phone.  Nothing wrong with email for first contact...  it's what ever your business model is.  Then you can email back with your "Private Number" when you are ready.
