A doc told me that besides the common side effects, these drugs can have a serious impact on the heart tissue. I take copious amounts of the amino acid L-Arginine - 3 to 5 grams a day - it builds up the nitric oxide levels naturally and best of all, no side effects, its natural, much cheaper and the effect is round the clock - 2 downsides are - it takes 2 to 3 weeks to build up naturally in the body and erections pop up more easily - adjust toward the 3 grams and then use 5 grams when you really want to perform

I just returned from China, had some spare foreign currency, so I decided to blow it on some Cialis at the Airport's Duty Free Shop (no prescriptions required in China). It looks real (blister pack, manufacturer's container, safety seals, etc.) FYI: four 20mg tablets cost $25.

I have never used the stuff, and was wondering:

1) Is there any downside?
2) does it help maintain an erection after an O (for continued enjoyment)?
3) Should I cut the pill (20 mg)?
4) Any other words of wisdom?

Thanks.

1) I have a decrease in sensitivity, which combined with the cover, makes me last a long time, sometimes too long (if you can believe that)
2) I have found that for me it does help me maintain an erection or recover and get a new erection quicker if stimulation continues.
3) I use 1/2 of a 20 mg pill and find that it is plenty for me and I do not experience as much loss of sensation (see number 1) - the full pill is really overdoing it for me.
4) I like Cialis and it lasts longer than Viagra, though Viagra seemed to give a more intense effect, harder, bigger.  And really 3 to four hours is plenty of time for me at my age to have all the fun I want.  All the answers above are for Cialis.  Viagra however, seemed to give me more side effects, stuffy nose and flushed face, which I do not note really with Cialis.  For that reason, I decided to stay with Cialis

I've posted this before, but it's relevant here again. One doctor told me that men over 50, who are at greater heart attack risk, should not use Cialis because you're under its effects longer, and should you happen to have a heart attack, they can't treat you- under any of the ED drugs- with nitrates, so with Cialis it's longer that they can't treat you.

the worst side effects. Levitra is best for serious wood and fewer side effects.   Take an hour and 15 minutes before encounter with little or no food. Keep alcohol to a couple of drinks only. Don't cut the pill. Cock will stay hard for a period after O. I would suggest not having acidic food prior to taking pill. Lastly, you may have gotten lucky, but I'd be skeptical of Chinese drugs.

The liver processes the grapefruit robbing it of the ability to handle viagra, etc., and could be toxic. Ask a pharmacist for details.

I am in my late 40s and have never had problems with erections.  Recently, I tried Viagra simply to see if it made much difference.  For me, the only effect was to feel flush.  I realized no benefit from the pill as far as length, volume or intensity of erection.  YMMV, however.

This is because if you don't suffer from ED, these meds won't give you anything but a possible psychological boost.  They won't have any physiologic or pharmocological effects.

BTW, no pill will increase your "length" and none of the ED drugs will do anything to increase volume of ejaculate.

New book THE HARDNESS FACTOR:  L-Arginine + pycnogenol + fish oil + niacin + horny goat weed (honest) + exercise.  Been on the program about one month and my boners are better.  Stand in the bookstore and memorize the formula; book is 30pp. great info. plus 300pp. of filler.  Sorry Dr. Lamm.  If you're too lazy to do the exercises like I am, your boners will still improve.

I've taken neraly every supplement known to man for the last three years in order to get back to where I was but none of them have ever worked. I took L-Arginine everyday for about 5 months and it did absolutely nothing. I was taking about 4 grams a day.

I take all three of the ED drugs at the same time in multiple doses and I can still hardly even tell I've taken them. No side effects but no good effects either.

Yup, there is a chance of blindness with the use of ALL ED drugs...  but again, no drug that I know of is totally free of some side effect...

I use Yohimbe, a natural plant material, that essentially has a similar pharmacological activity that cialis, viagra and others...  side effects, prolonged erection prior to ejaculation (no loss of sensitivity, just stay hard a long time...) headache, sweaty genital region, face flush...  etc...  I sometimes cut the doseage -still works, however I like some of the feeling that I get when taking the pill....  your call.
