Well, question one is going to vary girl to girl.  Let me start by saying that I am a touring indy only who RARELY sees anyone in my hometown.  I do not constantly meet new men.  After a few tours and good service you will get regulars in the cities you visit.  There are some cities where I do not place an ad, go UTR and do just as well, thanks to the regulars and want to know when I coming into town.  This has worked well for me if I want a mini work/vacation.

I do not like working in my own town becuase I want to keep my two lives seperate.  I own a small business am very active in my community and do not wish to run into someone who doesn't know what discretion is and say, " Hey Missy, how are ya ? You available tomorrow ?" when I am with civilian friends ( don't laugh, it happened to a friend of mine about a year ago when we were having lunch in Ft. Lauderdale )

No shows are a part of the biz... period.  There is no way to prevent them wether you tour or not. Some people will tell you they no show  because they weren't screened etc.  BS, no shows happen. I have been no showed by guys that have been screened well (and screening is a must for me). Unfortunately, you gotta take the good with the bad.

The right clientele depends on you.  How you carry yourself, the service you offer and if you are what you say you are.  List interests on your site ?  Make sure that they are your interests.  What if you say you like to golf and then you get a golf nut that wants to take you out to play, some dinner and fun ?

There is no set time to gain a reputation.  If you do the right thing, word spreads quickly.  I have never had a problem on this or any board, gotten into a pissing match ( both parties look bad and it's not worth it) or threatened/posted personal information.  Have a problem ? Solve it privately. Keep you nose clean, be honest and earn respect the good ol' fashioned way....time.  I have been a provider for 4 years ( with little vacations of several months in between) and have enjoyed the rewards that a good rep gives you.  It takes work to be good BUT it is definitely worth it.

On the Newbie board, I posted a similar question.  With some of the answers to the question, I have decided to use the answers to re-word my question!

Successful Touring Ladies, these questions are for you!

I hope to get some wonderful responses.  Thank you!!! 

Question:  how can I be more successful touring?

Q: Why subject myself to having to constantly meet new men, the stress of wondering if they will cancel and losing money when I could meet regular clients? (saying I start getting regular out of town clients).

Q: How can I create a true business and cater to the right clientele....and not get stiffed by no shows and get wined and dined at a high level?

Q:  Define a woman of integrity with a good reputation? Does this have to be after 1, 2+ years as a provider?

I have been a touring provider for over two years.  I just recently moved to Phoenix in hopes of settling down a bit, but as someone who has developed several UTR markets throughout the US, I just felt compelled to comment.

1)  Part of what keeps the hobby fun is meeting new people.  Once you have established yourself within a city, you will begin to establish a  regular  clientel.  If you go to several cities then you can keep the encounters fresh and yet consistantly stimulating as you can spread your visits to the same city out 4-6 weeks from each other.  As Missy Petite said, there is no stopping no call no shows, however; I have found that because I screen, that rarely happens.
Touring is also a great way to get hotel / flight points built up in the event you want to have your own little private getaway at an exotic resort.  Having said that, don't forget to factor in air fare, hotel charges, meals, taxi's (or gas if you drive) and whatever other fiscal responsabilities you may have at home (daycare ect...).  Those costs together can add up to nearly 300 per day.  Unless you have a credit card, be prepared to pay for ALL those costs up front.

2)  By being consistant and offering quality service you will gain a reputation, not only on the review boards - but also via backchannel.  I am amazed at how many personal referrals I recieve after two or three visits.  Again, because of my screening process and now because of my reputation in the midwest, I do not suffer no calls no shows.

3) A woman of integrity will have a good reputation.  A provider who is timely, clean and enjoys what she does will gain a reputation of quality.  It can happen quickly once the word gets out - but it doesn't happen overnight.  If you are wanting to continue in this business for 2+ years, you must continue to offer the quality of business you began with.  If you do tour, build up your hotel points and get away from time to time.....   I do - LOL..

I am thrilled to be back in my hometown of Phoenix.  I am hoping that I do not have to travel quite as much as I have over the last two years; however, as I am trying to build a market in the Valley I am certainly glad I can fly back to Kansas City, Omaha, Dallas or DC and visit my old friends!!!!

Add your web site along with your posts.  That way us guys can at least see if there is a geographical match or near match.

1.  Be absolutely truthful in your advertising.  Include accurate height, weight, measurements, eye and hair color.  If you're not open minded, don't say you are.  Don't hint you'll do things you won't.
2.  Do get a photographer who knows how to take flattering pics, but make sure we can still recognize you when we see you.  If you have changed (hair color/length, tatoos & piercings, weight, age, etc.), get up to date pics reflecting that change.
3.  Avoid piercings and tattoos.  Maybe the young guys like them, but old foagies (over 35?) prefer a more unadorned look.  Likewise, nay on the mules and platforms, yea on classic (not pointy-toed) 4" pumps and stilettos.
4.  There are some hobbyists who are jerks, but most are nice guys who want to be treated fairly.  Don't carry resentment of the jerks over to the nice guys.
5.  Advertise early and often and repeatedly up to and through the dates of your tour.  Make sure ads include links to your website.
6.  Let visitors to your website sign up to receive future tour schedules & info via e-mail.
7.  If you're out of sorts or not feeling well, be honest.  Call the client and reschedule for a time when you can be at your best.

Well, that's a start.  IMHO. Good luck!
