Email vs text

I will admit I am new to the hobby and recently I scheduled a time with a provider thru email and continued to communicate thru email until the day before, she sent me her address and said to text her when I got to the location, I then replied if we could keep to emails only due to not wanting to have a phone record, she replied back being shocked and mentioned that I should have let her know that I only would communicate thru email, at this point the scheduled date was over before it began. She asked if I had issues with any other providers only communicating thru email and I told her this was a first for me. My question is how important is it to have a 2 call system?

She has never seen you and actually knows very little about you.  You are leaving an email trail anyway, so what difference does it make, whether it's phone or email.  You can delete the texts as soon as you are done and unless a real expert gets a hold of your phone, no one else will see them, same goes for emails.

...However you have to do what you're comfortable with. It's odd though because I know of providers that are e-mail only. Some are text only. Some want to talk to you. Surely she understands everyone has their way of doing things.

provider's safety.

I don't understand the big deal about a text as compared to an email. Do you have a hobby phone?

I am going to go with the sudden aspect of your disclosure, rather than one system or another.  I think that was the problem.  It works both ways, you know.

Her regular, successful, proven comfort zone is A, B, C ... 2 calls, you're in.  To give her advance notice of your email only preference gives her time to wrap her head around that and get comfortable with it (or choose to reject it, even with ample notice).

It can happen in reverse, too.  You read the reviews, you were verified, friendly email / phone, everything is going OK and then, on the 2nd phone call while you're standing on the corner, she says, "Show your license and business ID to the security camera when you enter the building and I'll give you the apartment number." and you're thinking WHAAAAT?  If you can't resolve it quickly, you choose to leave.

Nobody likes surprises like that.  If you really want to see her, this situation might be salvaged but you have to give more notice about anything out of the ordinary, HER ordinary.

Or get yourself a hobby phone, separate from your regular phone.  That also solves the problem of the phone.

I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure you can send an e-mail to her phone that she will receive as a text message and vice versa. At least I'm able to do this. This way she gets what she wants (a text from you) and you get what you want ( the messages going back and forth through your e-mail).
