Newbie not getting dates.

i am a newbie, and I am going to Scottsdale AZ next weekend.  I would hate to waste the opportunity, because I rarely travel.  So far I have sent two requests on P411 to "newbie friendly" providers asking them if they had any availability next weekend for a meeting, but neither of them has responded.  Rest assured my request was both very polite and very discreet.  Am I doing something wrong?

If you just asked about availability and weren't specific about the time you would like to meet it's no surprise you were met with silence.
Have they logged onto P411 since you contacted them? If they have logged on and still didn't respond, you could try sending a direct email and say you sent a request and just want to make sure she saw it. If you still don't hear back start looking for someone else.

I gave specific times and dates.  One of the providers has not checked in to P411.  The other one checked my profile 10 minutes after I sent the request, but then never replied to me.

Hopefully you are also looking at Phoenix and Mesa, not just Scottsdale.

In general, even now (long time P411 member) I give a a lady 3 days to reply. My advice to newbies it to always send the first email 2-3 weeks in advance.

Hopefully you will get lucky. Don't give up!

....and not getting a response is far from unusual. From my experience a response sometimes comes day's later, even weeks, if it comes at all. Newbies have it that much worse, since they are just starting out and have no history.

If you don't get a response in a couple of days, you can send a follow up email to ask if she received the first one. If there is still no reply, cut bait and move on.This is a big problem if you have a short amount of time to set something up. You can easily run out of time before a provider even gets back to you.

Agreed just move on to someone who actually answers back. We ladies get a email notification if someone sent them a message on P411. If they are ignoring you off the bat you probably wouldn't have a good date anyways. Sure give them a couple days to answer back, after that move on, no harm done.
