Shower is on the clock

When offered a quick shower at the beginning, does that count against the hour. And as a follow up, would saying how you just took a shower before coming (and didnt get sweaty on the way there) generally alleviate any hygiene concerns. Or is it just better to play along as a courtesy and do a quick rinse?
There might be some disagreement on this but I think that most would agree that shower time is on the clock.  It's just a few minutes at the start and another few minutes, at your option, at the end.  It's better to have 50-55 minutes of a contented, happy situation than a full 60 minutes of squirming, distrustful discomfort.  The shower ritual is also a quick way to get your clothes off and ready for business!

Even if you just showered at home or the gym and drove over in an air conditioned car, you generate some sweat and maybe pick up some grime.  OK, I'm city based, so I know I pick up some sweat and grime, even just scooting across town.

Some hostesses are sticklers for a shower so just go along.  You'll smell nice, she won't have to wonder about junk on your junk and so on.  Some hostesses are fine if you look and smell clean and fresh and will let the shower slide ... but might reconsider when the clothes come off.  Some lower end hostesses will have a pack of baby wipes in place of a shower and towel.  And some don't care at all.

A shower (with soap) or quick rinse (no soap? use some soap!) is almost always a good idea.

Good luck.

First time soon in not a brothel (where showers are required).

Cant find an answer for this specific question so i'll ask. When offered a quick shower at the beginning, does that count against the hour. Obviously this is not a huge deal, but just curious what anyone thinks.

...It will make her feel better. You never know how she feels about you asking to skip it or claiming you just took one. I usually ask for one and invite them to join me. They usually do. A shower together gets the session off to a good start. It's always fun to play in the shower. ( mmmmmm memories of showering with a favorite yesterday :-) .

the same advice applies if offered a breath mint:  Take it

immediately before going to her...  and I've been complemented oin always beinig freshly showered.  But if a gal wants me to shower, in I go.  Might even ask her to join me....

Even if I just showered, I make a point of washing hands before play...  there are a lot of door knobs & elevator buttons between.   "You want to put that finger where exactly?"  I often bring small containers of soft soap (My preferance) which I leave.

If you shower, it's an all over rinse, pits & junk, rinse...   (make sure your butt is clean!)

I absolutely agree harborview. I, too will always ask to wash my hands, for the reasons you mentioned. In addition, I feel it shows some respect for the lady and lets her know hygiene is important to me. Also, especially important if it's the first time we've met, it gives her a chance to check the envelope while I'm out of the room if that's important to her. And gives us both a minute to collect our thoughts about how it will go now that we've actually laid eyes on one another.
I usually have the ability to have showered just before heading to her place and so don't ask to do so when I arrive. It's been rare that the lady has offered/suggested it and when /if they do then I oblige.
      Regards.......RR

The shower at the brothel does count against your time, but is almost always very erotic. A lot of times the women hop in with you, scrub you down, and give a bit of a preview. I can't speak for all, so even if they don't, it's best to hop in and shower to put the lady at ease. Freshly showered men get extra special attention - trust me ;)

Thanks guys for all the answers, was weighing pros and cons and clearly the pros outweigh.

I was talking about non-brothels Lyla, because at brothels at least ive been to (like Australia), it is a mandatory practice, and generally takes place before the girl comes back to your room (so it is not on the clock generally). The girl often just showers at the end then is ready for the next time, at least from my experience.

Oops! I meant to write at the appointment, not brothel. Silly me. But yes, the pros outweigh the cons. I've heard some SERIOUSLY hot shower stories before. Have a great week!
