Maybe you guys have suggestions?

Maybe?  Some of us can't keep our opinions to ourselves or our mouths shut!

 A couple of suggestions:

Your first approved review will create your TER Profile.  Once you have a Profile, you are entitled to FREE limited VIP which includes access to TER "PM" Private Messaging.  If you pay for one month of VIP (maybe you already did?), you will have FULL vip privileges which includes PM.  PM can come in handy for private advice and questions.  You can practice by sending me a PM by clicking on the Yellow Envelope by my name.

I see that you already found the NY Ad Boards.  That's a good move.  Are you following the NY Discussion Board yet?

I checked out your website and I would also suggest that you consider WATERMARKING your photos.  Unscrupulous persons might copy your images to their ads and claim that those are pictures of them.  A watermark makes it harder for them to do that.  Let them go after easier pics to copy and steal.

I see that you already found the Photo Only board, too.  Same suggestion: watermark.

My last suggestion (for now, that is) is something I would prefer to put in a PM rather than the forum.  But, I'll just post the hotlink and you'll know what I'm talking about.

EDIT: One more thing.  It seems that the only way to contact you is via your web form.  Many of us will not use forms at all.  I also suggest that you add some other contact method: hobby email (hushmail, gmail, ...), hobby phone (you can stipulate "text only" or "no texts") or some other method.  Maybe work with a "phone girl" to handle your contacts and schedule?  Basically: We Hate Forms.

 GOOD LUCK!

Ah! thank you so much for the advice! I haven't got a VIP (so can't do PMs), but I will look into it as I'm feeling more and more it may come in handy.

I've been reading the NY Discussion board, have yet to put in my two cents, but I'm hoping to soon enough when I have something thoughtful to say.

I've also posted ads on a couple other sites that I've seen other providers from here have posted on, so I will definitely get to watermarking my photos.

Your 'no forms' advice has been noted! I've added my hobby email to my website. Wouldn't it be wiser to only share my number after initial email contact? As I understand, many girls can get quite a headache with non serious people blowing up their phones. Not that I mind a little chat, but I imagine it could quickly become overwhelming. What's your thoughts?

AND a big thank you for the hotlink, haha. Slightly embarrassed that as a college educated girl I'm making silly mistakes!

You've been so helpful! Again, thank you!

Hi I'm Lily

Very new to the review and this lifestyle in general. I hope to establish great friendships while here- providers and hobbyists alike! I've been reading the board, getting a bit of a feel for the community, and enjoying the discussions though I've not participated in a discussion yet as I'm a bit shy, but I'm warming up rather quickly and look forward to many conversations on here.

Still trying to find my bearings in regards to best way of putting myself out there on the world wide web. I see TER is an excellent place! I'm lucky to have come across it...other sites don't look as promising though.

Maybe you guys have suggestions?

At any rate, I'm happy and excited to start this new adventure!

Kiss Kiss,

Lily Adele

for both hobbyists and providers. See the white lifesaver at the top of the board.

I would also suggest you check the websites of several well-reviewed ladies in your area. This will give you an idea of what marketing methods work best in your area and also what a fair rate structure would be. Providers who offer a quality experience for a fair price generally can do quite well. You might find a local lady who would consider acting as your mentor to give you advice on screening, where to do incalls, etc.

Once you get started, don't compromise your boundaries regardless of what BS some hobbyist (all of us are not gentlemen) might try. "All the other ladies do BBFS" or "If you don't allow me to do X, then I will give you a bad review".

Good luck to you.

Hi,

yes I've looked at quite a few providers who have similar looks to me in my area, and after much thought, believe I've set up something fair!

I would LOVE to make a provider friend or two who could gently guide me (no hand holding! I'm a big girl so I've got to figure most of it out on my own haha, but for those peculiar questions having a friend in the hobby would be an asset).

I plan on living a long healthy life so I definitely will not be entering scary BBFS-land, and at any rate reviews that aren't truthful can be reported, no?

Thanks! xoxo

What're my thoughts?  :-)  Well, ...

Some prefer filtering (spam blocking) their emails and some prefer filtering (blocking) texts and some prefer listening (blocking) VMs.  A note to the guys: If your initial contact is rude or improper, you might be relegated to the spam folder or blocked list and all further contact attempts will go to the trash bin.  Some ladies hire an assistant to handle the contacts and do initial screening.  Ask others for details and recommendations.

Your email is posted as [email protected] which I think is OK.  I can just cut and paste into my email.  Some of us lazy guys won't even bother to fix a cut and pasted "name at domain dot com" that some people use to cut down on robot harvested email addressed spam.  If the robots have my email addresses, the corporate (gmail, yahoo, etc.) spam filters have been very good at blocking 99+% of it.

You mentioned something that I did not.  (But I have mentioned it in earlier 'advice' posts.)  Newbies can be pressured to do things beyond their comfort zone ("Come on, baby.  Everybody else does it."  "Really?  OK, I guess.").  Sometimes, you just have to ask someone to leave.  Others can give you advice on that, too, regarding reliability, fees, etc.

I think that VIP using anonymous gift cards for payment is around $30 for 24 days (based on a recent post).  If things go well, you should have a review and Profile before it expires.  Or maybe you'll want to tag on a second month of paid VIP.

As far as making misteaks is concerned, I don't no what to say.  I have never made such a gaff.

GOOD LUCK!

put your phone number on your website or in your ads is up to you. Most ladies I have seen only give the phone number once screening is complete and the date is set. Some others will screen the guy and then want to chat a bit to make sure there is some compatibility before actually finalizing the date.

Good advice, I am very appreciative !!

Well, I'm not new to the lifestyle, but I am new to review boards, and trying to learn as much as possible. Maybe you and I will meet up again on the "providers only" side. We are both in the same city.
