Right on.  As a native New Yorker, I must say that while I understand the 'need' to 'clean up' Times Square in order to hoover tourist monies, I fondly miss the blatant air of risk and sin that used to hover casually in the Times Square area.  As I tell friends, "There is NO WAY that Times Square/Herald Square is supposed to boast the VIRGIN MEGASTORE!"

I make it a policy to urinate on the facade of said establishment (or anything with Disney on it) whenever I'm in town, just for old time's sake.  I once had a cabbie wait while I did so, and after I returned to the cab, he informed me (laughing) that from that point on, the meter was off.  Good as his word, too.

a "friend" of mine once passed out on GHB in the VIP Lounge of Runway69 (i kid you not) ... i was telling her to go easy on the stuff but it was one of those "infinite nights" where only something drastic could've brought things to an end ... getting her outta there (with management and dancers' help) was a "production" in itself!
