...you if she wanted to see you, since she's working UTR.  But some providers really do delete all contact info when they retire so she may have no way to get in touch with you.

There's always the possibility that her friend is not such a good friend and has an ulterior motive for telling you.  Maybe the info isn't true.

If they are really friends, you can give her friend your number to pass along and let her know that you're interested in seeing her again.

There's a provider I've seen many times who "retired" earlier this year. A friend of hers says she's back in the business now. Her website is still a placeholder with nothing on it.

I still have her work cell phone number. Is it proper to make some sort of contact, or should I just wait to see if someone else does? Or wait for her to contact me?

If this were civvie life and a girlfriend hadd gotten married, then I heard got divorced, I would make some sort of very casual contact to see if she wants to reply.

I am sure she would have gotten rid of you provider phone.. Therefore if you tried the number she had, you may get some troll.. cough, cough, another monger's burner phone.... I am surprised at the number of texts/calls I still get on my burner from the previous owner's (of the phone number) contacts

the one word in this hobby no one will ever truly understand..

She didn't "retire" in the sense that many mongers and people in the outside world use the word. She got into a serious relationship.

Now, is it possible the friend is playing games, or has the wrong info? Very. I have to take that into consideration.

Someone has her phone number, as I sent a text that just said "Hey", and got a phone call right away. It only rang once, though. I don't know if it was her  or someone with her number.

I suppose I could try sending an email to her provider address. I could also try to track down her assistant and see if she has any insights.

When she said she was in a serious relationship, I was very happy for her. I hope it's still going. I think about her every day, though, and still haven't found anyone like her.
