The power of the reviewer

Ive had clients in the past who (for lack of better words) blackmailed me with the lines "I'll leave you a review" or "wait until I tell the boards this" with the intent of getting me to do something outside of the service or outside my comfort zone. Is there a way around that? Also what about fake reviews? Clients who just out right lie?

report them to TER admin, and hope that they get banned from this site.  You can also post on the providers only board and let other providers know about them.

Give a small-minded person even a tiny bit of power, and he becomes a huge prick.

Sooner or later, this happens to a lot (if not most) of providers.   Sometimes they don't even give you the courtesy of threatening, they just go ahead and give a low score because they didn't get what they wanted...... even though what they wanted is something that is NOT on your menu.

If there are lies or gross inaccuracies in a review, then contact ADMIN.  Unfortunately, I've read many posts from ladies who've said that not only have some inaccurate reviews not been removed, but that some completely fake reviews have been allowed to stand too.
It's really difficult for ADMIN to know who is telling the truth and who isn't.   So they have to make a judgement call, and sometimes it just doesn't go in the provider's favor.
Sucks, but that's the way it is.

I've personally had good luck lately with getting fake reviews removed.  In my case, though, I did notice that I have more of an established history here on TER than the fake-reviewers did so I'd guess that had something to do with it.  That, and at least one of them had submitted almost word-for-word copies of the same review for multiple ladies.

If you're gonna fake it, be creative, dangit!!  Dust off your creative-writing skills and really go for the gold!   If nothing else, it should make for some entertaining reading.  ;-)

I'm totally kidding, of course.  No one should be submitting false reviews for anyone.... including themselves.

It kind of goes along with the territory of being a provider, especially a rather cute provider with a rather limited menu by our standards here.

A LOT of guys really expect kissing and BBBJ's even if it plainly states in your reviews that you don't provide such services. I guess they think you are young and they can either pressure you or "sweep you off your feet" to get those additional services.

About the only thing you can do, expect of course in the case of out and out fake reviews for which you do have the ability to dispute, is to try to do as best you can, provide the best experience for your clients that you possibly can within the limits of your comfort zone, and let your entire "body of work" make up for the overly harsh reviews.

One thing to keep in mind about the TER review process, with the menu you offer the very best you can hope for is a 7 in performance, that doesn't mean you automatically get a 7, a 7 is the BEST you can hope for. Fair or not, that's the way things work here. Personally, I think you are kind of cute, but to be 100% honest I doubt that I would book time with you due to your limited menu, it is what it is. I did just read through your reviews and it does appear that most of your clients are happy with you. If that continues you should find the occasional scathing review by a guy unhappy that you would not push your limits for him to have less and less an impact on your business, and find yourself highly in demand by guys NOT looking for GFE

...and judging by the "services offered" section of her profile, it is a bit lacking indeed.
@Taylor - is that info correct? if not, it would be in your best interest to have it corrected.

I'm sure she knows that 7 is the highest performance score she can get, and she isn't complaining about the 7s.
She posted about her services on another board.

BTW, I sent you a PM.

But I agree with GaG on much of this.

Another option should be RULED OUT. Do not go public, if you can avoid it. You have to be extremely skillful to dispute a review on the public board. It often results in name calling (liar, liar pants on fire) and unverifiable he-said - she-said stuff.  Wait until you've read a few of those and watch them degrade the reputations of both parties.  (If some guy starts by complaining about you on a local board, reply carefully.)

All but one of your reviews are very favorable.  As GaG said, accumulate more and more favorable reviews and they will swamp out the rare low score.  (I think that every reviewer mentions the venue. That has nothing to do with the blackmail issue, but it was important enough to those guys to describe so I mention it here.)

Also, like GaG, I'm in the same boat: I see really attractive pics but some service limitations that I prefer to bypass.  Even if it's a great "7", I like to aim higher.

As all have said, do not succumb to pressure to do anything you are uncomfortable with or don't want to do.  Leave or ask the guy to leave if it comes to that.  (Might mean giving back some or all of the fee.)

I'm going to send two more comments by PM that I hope you will read.

In the meantime, good luck

to what GaG said re. your services offered, one of the guys you saw gave weak reviews with the highest score being a 6.

And before the board explodes that it can't be done, oh yes it can with the right email from the right person to the powers that be

As long as most of your reviews are good, one or two bad ones will stand out as what they are. Guys that do the things you mentioned do it to others too and it usually shows in their reviews and are just ignored by me.

I guess the world is full of asinine, self centered, selfless jerks.  Sorry to hear that actually happens.

 I have a motto...."People suck".
I've found that MOST clients would never even think of doing something like that.... and unfortunately some have a hard time believing that review-blackmail and other transgression do happen.

Sometimes newer providers run into the baddies quite frequently when starting out as the predatory types may think they have a better shot at getting one over on a newbie as opposed to a seasoned veteran like..... well, me.  ;-)
But this happens to me once in a while too.

See the link below for a tongue-in-cheek post I wrote earlier this week which touches on some of the more annoying actions we providers occasionally encounter.    :-)    And in case you're wondering: yes, I've got quite an ache from patting myself on the back!  LOL!

I'm afraid of the day when this will happen to me. I have a feeling that guys who do this sort of thing will eventually earn themselves a reputation that prevents them from booking appointments with any nice girls. It's unfortunate for the collateral damage that accumulates along the way, but they'll learn their lesson in the long run. Too bad certain people can't just book with girls who provide what they want instead of trying to bully girls into something they aren't comfortable with. It's also too bad the bullies can't accept defeat without retaliation.
