people do that? wow. Thanks for the advice!

What's considered the going rate for professional pictures and should you send pictures directly to clients? What if they're pic collectors? Guidelines, suggestions, recommended photographers in the CNJ area?

My photographer, Caycee (Atlanta based), was 400/hr.. it felt a little odd to be on the paying end and not the receiving end of that lol. She's in the typical price range of most photographers I believe. Some may charge a little less but may have a 2hr minimum.
Aside from paying Caycee, I had to book a hotel room, buy lingerie, hair/nails etc so the shoot cost about 700$, I thought that was absolutely reasonable.
Caycee chose and edited about 80 photos for me, I don't think that's the norm. I believe you typically choose your own photos from the "raw" batch and then pay per photo edit at a cost of 10$-30$ per photo.

I took a look at your site, and gosh, you're really hot. The photos on your site are more than sufficient and I can't imagine any reason why you'd need to send any more to anyone.

. You have a nice website where we can see the photos you are comfortable showing as well as the ones in your ads so there should be no reason to send pics directly to anyone.
A good mix of professional photos and selfies makes for the best photo gallery in my opinion.

...regarding what is done with them. That's not good.
Once they are published you lose control.  The best you can hope for is that a watermark will deter others from grabbing them.

...or no head pictures sending unblurred pics to potential clients. What I said is still good advice even considering those that do show their face. (I see the OP does.)

If you go pro, ask your photog to watermark your pics. Or, learn how to do it yourself.  That way, they won't get stolen ... rather, if they are stolen or used by others without your permission, you will have proof right there that they are yours.

I'm not sure, but I think a watermark deters theft.  The thieves would rather skip the locked car and go for the one with the open window.

(Just in case you don't know what I mean: some rip-off artists will copy someone else's pics into their ads, say it's really them and set up dates based on those fake/stolen pics.  If reported to the ad website, they will almost always remove the pics and ad to avoid copyright infringement problems.  A watermark will make it hard for others to steal / use your pics.)

people do that? wow. Thanks for the advice!

If you look at other Providers' pics, you'll see that many of them use a pro named Aldo and he puts HIS watermark / logo on most of those pics.  A watermark with YOUR name or logo can be put across your belly-button, your nose, ... you want to put it someplace that a picture-stealer won't be able to crop out using Photoshop.  It is possible to do it tastefully so it doesn't detract from the purpose of the pic: to show us your beautiful non-watermarked self.

By the way ... I am guessing about price structures, but maybe others know for sure.  If I am a photographer ("Aldo", but I'm not Aldo!), I would charge one price for a set of pics that include my logo-watermark because it is advertising for me on every pic.  If other girls like your pics, they might hire me to do their pics.  If you want me to remove or not include my Professional Business watermark on your pics, I might charge a slightly higher price.  If you want me to put YOUR watermark on your pics, I can probably do that or you can learn how to do it yourself using Photoshop or other picture editing program.

Disclaimer: I am not Aldo.  I get nothing from Aldo.  But I am going to include a link to his site.  If the mods want it removed because they think it's an ad, they or I will remove it.  Model Mayhem is a website that lists models, cosmetologists for models, PHOTOGRAPHERS and numerous other modeling related services ... and has some great pics

Do watermake for sure.  Rotate which picts are in your ads.  You don't need new pictures often, unless your look changes.  I'd say 6-12 months, barring some other factor.  Have some that are only on your web site, not in ads.  Limit how many pictures you have up at any one time...  take some or all down if you have a new shoot done.   I thinkkthefewest picts I've seen to show what i need to decide is 6 to a dozen or slightly more.

My take...  While pictures need not be explicit...  taken in total, I want to know what you look like nude before I get to your door.  A variety of angles, poses & props.  Your pictures are your calling card.  Use them wisely.

I am turned off when I see pictures used that I recognize from 3 or more years ago...

depending on the photographer. What you paid for a shoot is normal depending on the area.
Your photographer was not the norm doing the re-touched pics 80 of them included in that price you mentioned is actually a great deal. There are some photographers who charge similar to your photographer and ones who charge 1000+ and some that do have 2hr minimum.
A gent here mentioned Aldo Antonio the photographer I have worked with him quite a few times.
Nice guy he is based in NJ//NYC however he does tour for photography. He is reasonably priced for a provider who is starting out.Or for a lady who just wants to update her pics without spending tons of money.

But there are other photographers that are way expensive and have a 2hr minimum. One is a female photographer I worked with earlier this year.Pm me if you want her info she travels as well but many known providers have used her and she is fabulous.

As far as sending pics to clients.Well...that is your decision if you show your face already online some providers have no problem sending a guy a picture. But if you do not show your face online I would not send a picture.
I don't send pics but I do not show my face online if a guy asks I direct him to my multiple photo galleries on my website. That is what I would advise you to do if a guy asks for a pic unless you are ok with sending one.
Yes,most definitely as other gents have mentioned watermark your photos.
Don't just watermark them with your name.Watermark your pics with either your phone#,email address,or website along with your name.Makes it harder for picture thieves to steal your photos.
Unfortunately without that watermark you run the risk of some stealing your photos.

Feel free to pm me if you have any other questions regarding pictures

well if i watermark my pictures can i still post on the photo only board? I had posted one yesterday that got taken down because it had my website on it.

...put contact information (such as your e-mail) on the pics you post on the Photo Only Board. There is nothing wrong with watermarking your photos with your provider name then posting those on the Photo Only Board.

First, it's GOOD that you are watermarking.  I took a look at your website pics and they are steal-worthy!  Uber-cute!

xyz's reply made sense.  But I wonder if your website is the problem.  Since some competitor websites are banned from being mentioned or cited on TER, I wonder if your website is one of them?

Why don't you contact TER ("Contact us") and ask for an explanation of the pic deletion and mention your website watermark.

Other than what xyz said, I wonder why TER won't allow pics watermarked with enough info to prevent theft?

(Edited due to the inclusion incorrect info.  Sorry.)

but for the photo only board the pics can only be watermarked with your name only no mention of website name, email,or phone#.That is why it was removed.
For your ter ads and other sites use the pictures that have your website name on the picture.

Is great to have a good, up to date portfolio (every three to six months) composed of a variety of looks (casual, swimsuit, dress, lingerie etc). with various props. Keep the shoots fresh and interesting. Try different poses, different places etc. Remember, men are visual and they get stimulated through the eyes.

Typically photographers charge different rates, the least I've ever paid was $550 for one outfit but you get more discounts the more outfits you do. When selecting a photographer, pay special attention to his lighting, quality of his photos and creativity, nothing worst than taking photos with someone who uses the same poses on everyone, who has poor photoshop and lighting skills and someone experienced in your particular body type/ethnicity. Check their site, ask other girls about them, do your research so you are fully satisfied with the results. Moreover, as others have stated, make sure all your photos are watermarked, I had my pictures stolen four times by four different girls, and is not a fun thing when gentlemen start asking you if you are in city,x,y,z when they recognize the photos. It is a major headache when you have to report ads, write to the thieves and so on.

I highly recommend Patrick at Clic Studio. He has shot 2500 + ladies in the industry and has an incredible eye for knowing what works and is extremely conservative when it comes to re touching, plus he is extremely creative and will work with you in order to create the best result possible. Although he is based in Miami, he travels to you New York very often offering various luxurious suites for the shoots.

Last, I wouldn't send any photos to clients.  As you previously mentioned, tons of picture collectors out there who never book but get off on collecting your photos, plus you never know who has access to their phone, cloud etc. It is better to keep some good mystery going so they are excited to meet you in person!
