I am new to the hobbying world, and am finding it extremely difficult to get providers to meet with me. The ones that will are usually on the mid-low end of the spectrum. I just wanted to know if there was anyway for me to meet high end providers while being new to the hobby? If I am going to take the risk, I want it to be worth it.
You will need to search for those who are "newbie friendly". You should also be prepared to provide them info for them to be able to properly screen you. Most ladies have a website that contains data they need to do so.
Others have suggested to have a membership with P411. It's a verification site that a number of ladies use. Again, be prepared to provide sufficient information.
Speaking from my own experience, I've spent time with ladies across the spectrum. Just because you consider her "high end" does not guarantee anything. Know the attributes you enjoy, read their reviews to get a sense of who they are and whether they would provide you with the experience you're seeking.

I guess what I'm saying is pornstar/model material. I'm in a pretty starved area as far as escorts go. Usually have to travel a few hours locally. P411 seems like the first step in the right direction. Any idea if The Luxury Companion would even bother screening me now? Money is not my issue, but references at this point are.
The age issue may have a lot to do with where you live. I'm located in NYC and it's pretty common for men under 30 here to be just as mature and wealthy and a lot of men over 40. I have 3 regular clients under 30 and I always have a great time with them. If I were located out in the country, where men weren't expected to grow up so quickly, I may feel differently. Unfortunately the "Perfect 10s" will have the most inquiries, and will have to come up with more restrictions to cut down on traffic. If money really isn't a problem, and you want to get someone's attention, maybe you could think about asking for a longer date to begin with. Invite her to meet you for dinner/lunch/brunch/coffee/NOT drinks before you spend time together privately. Tell her it's because you want to get to know her. It's no guarantee, but you'll come off as very mature even if you are young.
If you mean the 300 to 400 dollar range, I guess that would be the high end. But you don't have to spend that much to get a great quality session. There are great providers in the 200 dollar range.
I'm sure there are many great providers in the $200 range! 
But in many metropolitan areas $300-$400 is average, or even entry-level. In others, that really is considered high-priced.
But the OP has stated he's thinking of specific physical types (the true 10s), which may often be in the upper-end price bracket of any market.

The bottom line is you need to do your home work. Higher end is all relative. I have seen girls who charge 700.00 per hour and some who were just as good if not better for 400.00/hr. Many of these providers have gotten really good about marketing themselves and some (not all) even ask clients to right favorable reviews for them to keep them ranked high in some markets. A 10/10 score is relative to the reviewer so keep that in mind. You could see the same "High End Provider" and not think she is worthy of that score based don your experience.
If you travel often then certain cities will dictate the price as well. NYC will be much more expensive than Orlando, Florida. I would suggest you join a verification site and start researching who you might want to see. Do not just look at a website and how a girl looks; you have to see what she offers and if that is something you are looking for in a provider. There are many wonderful providers from all over the country and I am sure you will have no problem finding one to see. Good Luck.
The main complaint I have with newbies, is their shadiness. Most guys who are "really" new to hobbying (most guys will say they're new to hobbying when they in fact aren't). If you contact a high end girl, be honest and don't sound like your not willing to cooperate with her requests. Most girls understand that a newbie will not have references. What pisses me off is when guys who are new to this, refuse to even say their name. I mean, if you're gonna call someone with no references, at least be cool. Don't sound like you just committed murder

Seem to be running into is that my age is hindering me. I'm 29 years old, and that seems to scare many providers away. Why is that, and is there anything I can do to try and get past that roadblock?
Each lady is different when it comes to age. Keep in mind that many of the individuals who they see are more established. Being both new and young, they may be a bit more skeptical of your ability to meet their donation requirement and whether you're actually going to show up to an arranged appointment.
You'll have to keep an open mind that this happens. There are plenty of ladies who are out there, you just may have to do a bit more searching.
I'd not only be concerned about ability to meet donation and whether or not her is going to show up, but also the compatibility factor. Ladies that are experienced and reputable eventually begin to think beyond the guarantee of the donation and start pinpointing the type of men that repeat with them. At some point, its no longer only about the donation. Especially when many of men are interested in spending time together and a lady has to keep her energy (both physical and mentally) in mind.
About the age specifically, I have one guy who is younger that repeats like crazy and we have chemistry. Once he gets a few references or is able to be verified by ladies he prefers, some may let their guards down about the age.

Based on the responses and comments my answer is yes. My first experience was with a "high end provider" and a top ranked provider on TER.
I read her website, provided enough info to screen me, as well as a bit of info about me (hobbies, etc). Part of the reason for providing a bit about me is I wanted to try and make it clear I was not crazy or an axe murderer.
She responded pretty quickly and we had a great session.
Effective writing skills, plus not being so nervous on first contact by phone, led to my first time meeting as a hobbyist in this realm, back in May 2004. I saw this very same lady last week, so full circle.
My advice is to contact whomever you wish to. I've had PM's lead to meetings and friendships...
