...the post and you'll see a tab at the bottom that says "Edit Message."  Delete the text you wrote, delete the text in the subject line and replace it with the word "deleted."

If you don't see the "Edit Message" tab, then click the "Report This Post" tab and explain that it was your post and give the reason why you want it to be taken down.  In a few hours, you can check the "Feedback" section in your Account Manager to see what the status of your post is

Hi, I'd like to delete a post. Nothing was said in this post about a provider or client. Do I need to contact a moderator? If so how? Thank you :-)

I haven't tried it, but when you delete your own post using the method that you outlined, it will still be there but with the subject title "Deleted" and an empty text box....is that right? Does admin then delete it so that it's truly gone?

Yes, there is a chance that you and others will see a real post with subject "Deleted" and your name as the poster.  Sometimes the post is removed immediately (I guess due to random moderation, it doesn't go up in the first place), sometimes quickly (a few minutes) and sometimes longer (hours?).

ALL edited posts are supposed to go into the moderation queue. The very rare post that shows back up as "deleted" only happens because a moderator was asleep at the wheel.

How it works 99% of the time is that when you edit your post to "please delete" the post goes into the moderation queue,  the moderator who sees it simply honors your request and instead of approving it, he deletes it instead and when you check your board posts it will say "not allowed" and it will further say "reason: You requested to have your post deleted"
