Thank you for taking the time to reply. What you said about Chicago police proves my point that employment verification is not a reliable screening tool against LE.

I am not claiming to be a foremost expert on screening. This guide is not all inclusive. I hope people leave comments on things I missed so this guide becomes more complete. Please use your own big head, OK?

First things first, why should you screen? The answer is simple to avoid bad experiences. I have paid the price for not screening. My very first hobby experience involved me getting robbed. I have also caught many bad situations by screening. B&S, LE, BSC ladies that out guys have all been avoided. Ladies as important as screening is for us guys it may be even more important for you. I know women that has been raped, robbed, busted, and other bad things. Everyone must screen everyone in this game. There are plenty of bad players out there, it is best to avoid them. Most large cities has an active vice unit or three, screening will also help avoid meeting up with them. If you do meet up with them the information in my first newbie guide will help: http://www.theeroticreview.com/discussion_boards/viewmsg.asp?MessageID=22842&boardID=25&page=1#22842 Please screen.

Lets start with the guys:

How do you screen?

A. Find a woman that turns you on. This can be from her photos, reviews, ads, or posts on the boards.

B. First read her reviews on this and similar sites. Read the whole reviews. On TER that means paying for VIP. Much cheaper than one bad date. Then look at who wrote the reviews. Is he an experienced hobbyist? If so that is a plus. If he don't have many reviews be a bit leery of using them as your only screening method. Reviews can be faked. If a review looks off don't trust it. After a time you will notice some guys think similar to you. Pay special attention to them. Also in time you will learn some guys are full of it and to ignore them. Not every review is trust worthy,

C. Contact some of her clients that have reviewed her see what they have to say. I also have hobbyist and provider friends that give me heads up that I check with. But you likely don't have that being new, so stick with PM's with those that reviewed her. Backchanneling is a life saver. Often guys will leave stuff out because of fear of backlash but will confide one on one. I regretted most of the times I skipped this step. A 411 post in a boys board or two can bring out guys that have information that hasn't reviewed but may know something that can be of use.

D. Do your own checking. Run the photos through tineye.com and Google images to see if they are stolen. Google her phone number, hobby name and email to see if any red flags come up. Check her ad history. Is she new to the seen? If so be a bit more careful. Does she advertise else where or have a website if so check them out.

E. When you contact her listen. Is she friendly, professional, fun, or flirty? If so great. If she is indifferent, rude, angry, scared, or unprofessional  move on. If she talks about sex acts move on. If she talks about money move on. Ladies that screen are more likely to be responsible and less likely to over book. That is a plus.

F. Keep your eyes and ears open. Think with your big head as the little one is stupid and will get you into trouble. If something feel wrong it could be so listen to that feeling. Just don't be over paranoid or nervous as that will make you stand out. Use your big head.

I can't overstate the importance of using your big head and trusting your intuition. If something feels wrong bail.

Now for the ladies:

Now for how to screen. First I would suggest you ask around in the ladies board as I am only giving the basics. I have never been a provider but I have helped a few screen. There is a few ways ladies can do this:

1) Make them join a verification service. Get real full name and check blacklist and sexual predictor list sites. Not what I would do but works. You can also read his review and contact those ladies about him.

2) Get there real full name, real age and a traceable phone number (not a hobby phone) and run a back ground check with that also checks for known employers. Also check the blacklist sites. Call him on that phone. Check ID at the door. I know a lady here in Utah that has had great luck with that method.

3) Get there real full name and employment information. Call and check to make sure he really works there using a made up story and ether talk to him at work or make him show you ID.

4) Get and check a minimum of two references from providers that you know or are known and have excellent reputations. If you do not get verification for at least two I would stay away.

In all cases communicate with the guy and trust your gut. Also in all cases check the blacklist and sexual predator lists as well. Other ladies are your best resource in screening outside your brain. Protect yourself. I know ladies that really got hurt. Please screen.

There is likely other was to do it that I don't know about, ask on the ladies board. I would also suggest talking on the phone a bit to get a feel for him and always trust your spider senses with any of the above. There is now perfect screening method not even the reference system but the above should weed out many of the bad clients.

Anyway feel free to add anything I missed. Thank you.

Nice job on this review guide and I have to agree with you 100%.  The only thing I will add is that if you have ANY doubt in your mind and are getting a bad feeling in your gut about seeing a lady then just do not schedule with her.  Your safety and life are more important.  Pick a different provider.

There are so many quality providers that it's just not worth the risk.  Do your research extensively and you can decrease your chances of having a bad experience with a provider.

I have been around the block in this business and I have learned a thing or two through experience.

Good Luck and always remember to think with the big head......the one on your shoulders.

You should *never give your real name or employment info to anyone but your screening service.  Per your guide, you advise that a client's real name/employer should be  freely given to anonymous hookers on the internet.  This is shockingly bad advice.

I'm surprised your "Newbie Guide" passed through the mods on this board.  Automatic Fail.  --z

At no point did I advise anyone to give there real name.

I did advise ladies they can get real names and employment information as a form a screening. This is because it does put her in the drivers seat to some degree. It isn't fool proof but it weeds out LE and allows them to report it should things go sideways.

As for clients I didn't tell them to give or not to give said information. You are right there is real risk in giving real information out. Few but there are some BSC hookers out there that will abuse said information. There are rewards for doing so as well. That is for each guy to decide his own risk tolerance.

It is similar to the BBBJ vs CBJ debate. BBBJ has a good deal extra risk, but feels so nice and is much less risky than BBFS. A CBJ is much safe but isn't as fun. Willingness to give real info opens up fine ladies that otherwise are off the table especially to the newbie, but it does have risks. I have offered no opinion in the guide on the issue on the clients side of the coin. I did advise them to use their big head and screen.

How is real name and employment info going to weed out LE? I would think LE would be extremely sensitive about their personal info. If they give you fake info then I am sure they will cover their track before the sting operation. I really can't imagine anyone will try to report it after they are caught. I would think the only thing on their mind at that point would be to minimize the damage and not to take any chance to increase it. There are many myths as far as LE check, but I think checking references with other legit providers is the most reliable one and should be at the #1 spot.

I will not debate that. And I didn't necessarily list them in order of best to worse. But as to real information check LE can fake that but why would they? They would have to set up fake Google hits, fake social media, fake employment check and more. We are talking them spending real money  and time here and for a misdemeanor? Not likely. Possible but not likely. It is more likely a reference or two has flipped as I have seen that happen than cops going to that much effort to but one or two people on a misdemeanor charge. The reason references are best is ladies can clue you in on hygiene and other issues and real info just don't.

Are you saying LE won't bother to set up the fake info or they won't do the sting or both?

Are you saying providers flipped to trap other providers?

I never heard of LE going to the length of setting up false empoyment over a misdemeanor but Debbie has. No screening is fool proof. And of course LE will set up stings. Apparently in some areas they will go to extremes. I thought Salt Lake was bad with fake Web sites and flipping both ladies and hobbyists. Apparently in Chicago they do that plus fake employment. All the more reason to very one's screening. I admit there is no sure thing but the methods I outlined will reduce the risk. That is the best one can do is reduce the risk. Want no risk? OK, then the only advice I can offer is to run as far away from this hobby as possible as nothing about this is close to 100% fool proof.

Employer verification might cut down on the possibility (I don't know) but does NOT weed out LE.
I've known multiple people who got busted by someone whose employment was checked out.   They can get fake driver's licenses and have companies falsely vouch for them.  I'm unsure how common it is in other areas, but it can and does happen in the Chicago area.

Years ago, there was a sting where they got a LOT of ladies using a popular shipping service as employer verification; then they convinced quite a few ladies to flip on other providers by either promising to reduce the charge or letting them go scot-free, in exchange for giving a good reference for the phony ID.

But I believe you. All any screening can do is reduce the risk. If LE is determined they will get though any screening. Thanks for the heads up.

Clueless newbie here.  I appear to be trapped in an obvious Catch-22.  Quality providers want references.  I don't have any.  Can't get any because....providers want references.  Had a provider ask me to send my DL, which like an idiot I did.  She still decided I was LE, which is funny, but I get it - that's her call.

So, surely you guys were able to secure that first reference.  What's the secret?

I see. Instead of trying to defend your Garbage Guide,  you're going to weasel your way out. Here's your trifecta for providers:

 2) Get there real full name, real age and a traceable phone number (not a hobby phone)

I'm glad you mentioned it three times, in case providers missed it the first two times.  To any guy reading this idiotic thread: Never give your real name to anyone but your screening service.   --

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this!!!   It would be great if this could all be added to the Self-Help Manual.  :-)

Just one thing (because I'm a word nerd): you advised that ladies check potential clients out on the sexual PREDICTOR websites!!  I would absolutely love it if there were SEXUAL PREDICTOR sites so that I would know something what to expect about a personal sexual nature prior to meeting.... but for now, reading the reviews that person has written are the only way I have of gaining insight on that person.  And most people I meet either don't tell me their TER handle, or they are not reviewers.  Sigh.

Totally having fun with you, as I'm up early with nothing better to do.  Goodness knows that I'm not immune to typos.  :-)

Love ya!!!
