Oh sweetmelissa, I couldn't agree more. We need to pass this information along as much as possible. Providers are not looking to get into your personal life, it's all about our safety, and the safety of our entire community! We are a special breed of open minded people, who need to keep one another safe while we allow ourselves to explore our sexual fantasies! :)

Hey, after lurking for a while, I'm strongly considering taking the plunge and going ahead with p411 verification. I understand that I have to give my real name, and p411 says that it'll dispose of any identifying info, but would they dispose of my real name? I ask this because I have a very unique name, and I'm pretty much the only person who comes up when googled.

and call them and ask them.  BTW, your first name is part of your ID number on the site.

LLAP,
Swim

if it is obvious what those letters stand for (like "Dan" or "Tim") quite a few ladies will message to you by that name regardless of whatever handle you assign to your P411 profile.

No one can say what they do bcd with your info to a 100% certitude, 100% of the time. Human error could cause them to keep your info/name without any bad intent as well.

Furthermore, every data base is hackable, either internally or externally.

My point is no matter who you do business with today, in any line of work, if you supply personal info, is it at some risk of being made public.

I personally do not ever give out my real name as there is no need for me to do so and I never go near escort agencies for this exact reason.

Only you can determine the acceptable amount of risk for yourself.

You are worried about the obvious.  I/they can easily track you down through other methods.   I can track you with your ip address, router, and computer configuration.

Unless you are using VPN, TOR, and other obfuscation methods just accept the risk.  If you are a headline making name no one really cares.  Just do not be stupid.

Yeah I'm ok with p411 having my name, I'm just worried about providers with my info. A little Google search of my first name can pull up most of my work history. Thanks for the input.
