If, instead, you choose to change your personal phone # you can tell your friends, "I was getting all these terrible calls!  Some women put up some horribly offensive sexy ads and she must have mis-typed her phone number as my (old) phone number and I ended up getting all of her calls!  I was outraged!  But from the men I spoke with, she sounds like an absolutely wonderful person."
Maybe that "cover story" is too close to reality.  Maybe: "Someone used my phone number to (borrow money; commit a fraud; sell stolen items on eBay; just make something up not related to "this") and I am getting harassing calls from (bill collectors; angry people; VERY angry people; just make something up)."  Maybe don't use "bill collector" because you can shut that down by filing a complaint.

"I wanted a new phone number anyway."

Pick an explanation that you can defend but is far removed from TER-related activities

I was researching a phone number. A website came up that says it is used by the LE. Is this real or fake?  She has some reviews not a lot. Go for it or stay away? Thanks.

There's a lot of fake sites out there that list every hobbyist/provider's number they can find as LE/fake/scam, then try to charge you for their "authentic ad/review services guaranteed real". Can't tell you more unless we know the site.

Is there a way to have Google remove my reference to my telephone number as a provider?

Do you mean if people google your number it's showing your escort site/provider information on the results? That happens if you have your number listed on the sites. Just remove the number from your site and it should no longer show up on results.

I'm pondering what Tsuyoi is pondering.  But if they called them sad meals, kids wouldn't buy them.  But also ...

Are you using the same phone number for both your personal life and your business life?  That could be hard to fix even if you remove it from your business postings.  There are always cached pages and the internet has a LONG memory.

Thanks for your responses.  My phone number was originally posted on my profile.  TER removed it, but at least 5 now "spider sites" appearing on my profile (which I did not authorize), each with varying information and some with/without my phone number.

I have attempted to have all removed, but more "spiders" have found the number and posting it.  The obvious to do is change my phone number...my carrier's website crashes every time I attempt to perform a download.  A generated complaint ticket has yielded no results.  I love my clients and would like to preserve this information!

Is there no way to contact Google?  Can the auto-created spider sites be eliminated?

Thank you for taking the time with your input to assist!

I doubt that the sites copying ads w/o permission would remove the info but you'll never track them all down anyway.  It's worse than Whack-a-Mole (hit one, one pops up); the internet is "hit or remove one and ten others have already popped up."

I suggest that you get a second phone and number for personal or business and keep them separate. Clients wouldn't need an explanation, just a short, polite non-specific message, maybe one LAST message from the original number so they know it's really you: "Effective day/month/year, my NEW number will be #.  Thank you." If you use email, do not use "batch" or multiple recipients unless you are sure that everyone's addresses are blinded.

WymenLover also mentioned that BP thing where people deliberately MI$$ Sp3ll everything to make it harder to scan and clone robotically.  But writing "nine 87 - $ix 54 thr33 2 won" is kind of a pain and low end.

I hope that others can come up with some other suggestions for you.

One more thing: Just what is this "unique feature" of which you speak?  (You can PM me.) :-

Neither your TER profile nor the personal site you linked contain your phone number.  You must have used it somewhere else online for it to have been found by Google.

It seems that once you make it available on line you are probably stuck with it being in Google's database.  (Presumably that is why many backpage escort ads list phone numbers in other than 10-digit consecutive order.)

Someone posted recently that these warning sites are paid for by right-wingers who are trying to discourage prostitution.  Interestingly, these seem to be at the top of google search results.  Let them waste their money.
