Average price paid field.

There should be a average price paid field for a providers profile. Could start up simple with just average price for 1 hour. The calculation would be done every time a new review is approved.

... and I don't understand how it would be useful.

Here's why... rates can change over time. Touring providers may have different rates in different cities.  There's incall rates and outcall rates. Some providers offer specials occasionally. And some grandfather repeat clients into old rates.  None of that matters with respect to what YOUR rate will be to see that provider TODAY. I think it's better to have current rates published vs. some average, the basis for which is unclear.

For the reasons NYE mentioned and others.

So s provider started at 300/hr, raised her rates to 400 after some experience and a few reviews, then raised it to 500, your average shows 400/hr. How is this helpful to anyone?
As it is, many profile rates are not current because they have not been updated with a problem report. What is important is what is her rate now.

Expecting anything that comes from Chicken Little to make any sense.

As you said what is important is what her rate is NOW and reviews are not intended to be the place to get that info, her ads/web site are the best places to get that info.

Yes, just as some people should not be allowed to post on the newbie board, some should not be allowed to post on the S&P. :)

Averages can be used for all types of analysis.  Remember the trend is your friend.  It would also be nice to see a moving average plot.

Sorry Chicken Little, but you have years of posting dumb idea after dumb idea and that is one thing I think we can all agree on.

Following that line does it make sense to even include the price on the review at all.

It should not be taken as the Gospel, but it's helpful to know at least what price range she is in. It's useful for many of us that will exclude women that are too expensive, or conversely "too cheap" Personally if I see a woman with a price of a hundred bucks I most likely will skip right past her, I will usually pass on women who charge over $500 hr as well.

I've been grandfathered with many providers. Also been given some great rates for multi hour dates. These arrangements are between me and the provider. When it comes to writing the review, I would enter the providers published rates, not the below published rates I receive, if your suggestion was ever adapted.
