Now, with which camp would you rather have the good rep? And for what it is worth, I have not encountered any bait and switch from the gals I've met through TERI am an older, newbie. I'll spare the details. My question is, are the girls in the photos ever the ones that are in the room??? Maybe I'm naive. Maybe I'm being tested. But I know what I see. I have yet to see the same person. I've been stuck in the no references situation. I've been looking at this from the big picture. I see no honor among thieves, so far.
I am a newbie myself but in my first two experiences I got exactly who I expected. They looked like their pictures and I had a great time. I however did not just jump right in. I spent the time reading reviews, reading the ads, etc before moving forward.
Even without references screening was easy. You just have to select the right person and be willing to give them the information they need about you.
Try google/image and/or tineye. Are you familiar with TGTBT? DDG models usually are more than $150 an hour and overnights will probably cost more than $300 for the night.
As a previous poster responded, you have to do more homework on the lady you're interested in meeting. There are a number of ladies that are willing to see someone whose new to this, but you'll most likely have to give up some personal info for them to screen you
...a 100% everytime guarantee but the chances of the lady in the picture being the lady greeting you are extremely high. Like the previous poster I've never had a case where the photo wasn't the provider.
I know you have access to the provider's profile information and all the details in the reviews. Make use of that. Check to see that the photos accurate and photos real are marked yes. Sometimes because you're new other reviewers won't respond but try PM's to some of the recent reviewers and ask if the photos are her and are accurate. If even one responds that will help.
Read the details of the review to see if the reviewer mentions a bait & switch or if the photos are out of date and the provider no longer looks like that.
Some here would tell you to stop seeing Back Page providers. The bait & switch issue does happen there more but there are reputable providers there. Finding them is the problem. That's why I said search on your TER regional ad board. Only see a provider that is well established with many good reviews by reviewers that have written many reviews. Again it's not a 100% guarantee but the success rate is very high.
I don't know where you are and location does matter. If there aren't many providers available to you there is more you can do to check them out. Use tineye or google image search to see if the photos belong to someone else. It's possible the provider has taken stock pictures or another provider's pictures off of the internet. Google the phone number of the ad to see if it's attached to several different providers all over the country. These would be indicators to avoid that provider.

We both recognize that he's not very likely to get a response from anyone he potentially PMs asking if photos are real and current. But if he chooses to use an alias, the chances are pretty much zero.

Yesterday, I found a provider here on TER. She had 15 reviews...highly rated...$500/hr. I read her reviews and they were all pretty glowing. She did not screen me, at all, which is probably a key factor. I told her I was Lux verified. She said she didn't use that.
When she showed up, she was definitely NOT the girl in the photos on her website. I wouldn't even say it was her 5 years ago. She had a completely different body type and seemed a different height. She was not nearly as attractive as what I saw in the photos. Her face was obscured, of course. I was not turned on by her, in the least. I wanted to send her away. But, needing references, I went along with it.
My impulse is to give her a bad review. But, I'm paranoid about pissing off the provider community in my area. I mean, I'm guessing the ones on here talk. I walked out on an incall provider in a city in the south recently. She did not represent her photos or her age at all either. She sensed that I was not thrilled and said I could go, if I wanted to. I tipped her well and left. Then another provider said she wouldn't book me, having done that.
I want to play nice. But what I've seen so far is not cool. I'm willing to let things slide as a newbie. But I don't want to scammed again. I'm a smart guy who's good at doing research. I've read a lot of reviews. I spent a lot of time booking yesterday's experience. It was a total letdown
The lady who had 15 reviews, how recent was her last review? If you have VP status, it should have given you insight into whether the photos were real and recent. If you review her, just be honest versus being mean spirited.
I have to ask, the lady you departed from, did you use her as a reference? If you did, probably something I would refrain from doing.
You say the lady had 15 reviews, I would think at least one of those reviewers would have mentioned something about her appearance, unless the reviews are all VERY old. Or you don't have VIP and only saw that she had reviews and weren't able to read them
In either case, shame on you and bear much of the guilt hear for not doing your proper research. OTOH if the reviews were recent and glowing, you owe those reviewers an earful for steering you wrong.
As far as the review goes, yes I think you should write one if you are so inclined, but I would wait the full 90 days that you are allowed before doing so. This will give you the chance to see a couple of decent providers and get yourself some decent references before deservedly slamming this ROB B&S woman that you saw recently.
One last thought, once your own reputation is secure, there is no reason to leave a single red cent if you have been misled and the woman that answers the door does not even slightly resemble the hottie in the picture.
Oops, one last last thing. Very few providers, and even fewer men use Lux verify, Personally I think the app is a complete waste of time, despite TER trying to ram it down our throats for a year or more.
I am definitely VIP. The girl's reviews were as recent as May '15. She has 4 reviews from this year. All the them were 9 - Model material, 9 - Forgot it was a service. I have to be careful with pissing her off. This girl was in my house! I'm regretting having her here. That was probably not the best idea.
I'll probably just do P411. I paid for a year of Lux, and no one cares. Not money well spent either. Oh well, I'm fumbling through this newbie shit! :-P

Phone number, pics, reviews, website, etc. That will greatly reduce your chances of being disappointed. No one has mentioned the verification sites. Preferred411 allows providers to indicate if they are newbie friendly. They have an 800 number on their site and Gina and her staff will work with you to verify you. It's better to give a site like that than to pass out personal info to several providers in order to pass screening.

There are polite, more tactful ways to write a review but I don't think that's possible for you at this point since so much has been said here.
"When I met X, I was initially disappointed. Her pictures are several years outdated [more polite than "at least 10 years old"] but they are her [more polite than "you'd have to be on hallucinogens to see any hint of a resemblance]. She has gained some weight [more polite than +40 pounds] but it is well distributed [without mentioning what that means - boobs, ass, gut, thunder thighs, chins]. I really prefer the thinner gals like X in the pics to the new X. [A reasonable explanation for your let down.] But she was a trooper and the session went well blah, blah, blah. I'm sure I would have had a much better time with X had I not come in with different expectations. [More polite than "bait and switch".]" And so on. That warns others about the pics and explains a possible low score ("X in the pics is a 9 but I had to give the current X an 8 or 7." Then, you can fall on your own sword and say that it wasn't her fault for using old pics, it was your fault for harboring reasonable expectations based on those pics.
I'm not a big fan of this approach but it at least alerts others to the basic situation. Also, it gets a review up and then guys can PM you for details. ("Hey, Len. How much older is she REALLY? And don't BS me 'cause you can still go back to prison for TER fraud.")

This girl put up a different website with different photos that are the real girl. She has two different websites up right now. Her 'personal' site has the photos that I was going by. Is it bad to mention who she is specifically, here???

Being a newbie, I still need references. I recently got verified on P411. But a provider that I contacted still wanted references. I asked the provider who wasn't the girl in the photos, that I mentioned here, to whitelist me. She said she would, but wanted ME to review her first. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that because of what she did. I said that I paid her and went through with the session (not having any fun, which was obvious to her at the time) because I needed the reference. She said, "So now you are threatening me with a bad review and saying you had a bad time????!!!! Are you kidding me? Go ahead and leave me a bad review. You are a terrible person. Do not contact me again." I responded by saying that I didn't do anything wrong, in fact I even tipped her after paying her....a lot!
Her response was predictable. As I said before, she was in my house. So, I don't want to start an internet feud with this person. I don't know who she associates with. I told her I had no intentions of writing any review because I don't give a shit, and it's not the first time it's happened. Being a newbie, this has happened a lot, which is why I started this thread in the first place!
