Regardless of when, I always like to set up dates 5-7 days ahead of time, as I enjoy the anticipation, the build up, to seeing her. As another aside, I know nothing about Asian providers in DC, so good luck.

I'm new to the scene but would like to enjoy a GFE over July 4. When is the best time to contact a provider? I'm comfortable providing work info to pass the screening process but don't know if I should set this up a week in advance, same day, etc.

i would suggest that you contact your potential date right now. Don't be surprised if your first (or even second or third) choices are not available over the Fourth...
I agree wholeheartedly! There is a very high possibly that the top providers (maybe even more than the top) in your area will NOT be available for this holiday.
Since you're brand new to the scene and due to the holiday maybe you might consider contacting some of the Backpage girls. I'm not suggesting that in a derogatory context either.
Holidays have been hard for me too, to plan a "date" around. Hell, just the other day I was (seriously) thinking about next New Year's Eve!

It takes time to do what ever verification she does. A week would not be too much as you may need to try 2-3 to get an agreement. I'd suggest maximum versitility as many will have family commitments during this holiday.
Start now. You can't be sure which providers will be willing to accept work verification and which ones might not (unless you really have a specific provider in mind you KNOW accepts it). I would do it at least a week in advance. That way if your first choice ends up not working out you still have time to find another provider. And screening could take a business day or two. Most providers won't see a new client, especially a "newbie" new client, same day.

I, too, am new to the hobby (about 3-4 months now), and have had varying success in breaking into the Asian market in the DC area. One agency has been great--easy verification, and I've seen 2 of their providers, two times each. Another agency I *finally* broke through and got verified and have a date for tomorrow. Only took a month LOL. Two other Asian agencies never returned my e-mails or made any attempt to verify me. I have no idea why they don't seem to want to make the effort.
I've also seen two other providers in the area, who are independent. They have the same handler who schedules for them. Verification was very quick and easy, and every date I've had has been fantastic. I've reviewed each one, so all the details are there.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that it is REALLY hit or miss on how long it will take to get verified by an Asian agency in the DC area; or whether they even give you the time of day.
