Debbie, I don't know if there is a time limit on reporting

fake reviews.  The main thing is, you have to convince admin that it's a fake, that's the hard part, esp if it's old I would think.

If the review is good and well off your first page, it might not be worth the trouble trying to get it removed, but that's your decision.

In the past few months, I've contacted TER about a couple of suspicious reviews, and they've wound up getting removed.  Each time, I contacted them within a week of that new review being posted.

Recently, I was scanning through some of my OLD reviews and realized that one I got just a few months ago is pretty much a copy-and-paste of a review from a decade ago.  The intro was different, but after that it was the same review, with just a couple of words changed here and there.

This particular review didn't raise any red flags for me when it was first published, as it was generic enough to be just about any date.  Right now I'm waiting to see if the reviewer responds to my PM.

ANY fake review bothers me, but if TER really only wants to deal with recent suspicious reviews, then I don't want to waste their time over this.

My questions are: Does anyone know if there's a specific time frame during which they'll look into reports of possibly-fake reviews?   And, should I dispute this review?

If you can show them it was a copy and paste of an old review they should remove it.

Maybe the guy didn't really know what to say or have the time to write his own words so just copied another of your reviews? What would be someone's motivation for writing a fake positive review? Unless the review was bad, I don't see the point of bothering TER with it. Perhaps look into the guy's profile to see if he seems suspicious overall.
