Having trouble as a new provider

Hello there, I am a newer provider and just recently joined TER but it seems reviews are everything in order to get them linked to my profile and therefore help get more bookings. I have seen only a few people so far (have been concentrating on putting my site together) and none of them belong to TER unfortunately. I have posted on the regional ad board for my city but have not had much of a response as of yet. I had my site listed in the site directory and I am looking into other websites strictly for advertising but...Do any more experienced providers have suggestions to get going on this site now that I have my foot in the door? Maybe a soft critique of my website? I have nailed down the basics with it but any constructive criticism would be appreciated. I can't imagine every provider on here uses TER as their only source for advertising, do you ladies have any suggestions?

I'm not a provider, but I'll chime in anyway.  First, your Home or About Me page says "I.E." which I knew must be your location but I didn't see what "I.E." meant until I read your FAQ.  I learned something!

You said that you've posted ads to your Regional Ad Board but you might want to participate on your local Regional discussion Board.  Just contribute to threads where you think you have something to add while avoiding blatant advertising = threADs = threads that are really just ads.  READ the posts for a week or so to get an idea of the flavor before jumping into the deep end.  Posting will give people an idea of your personality that doesn't come thru in a website alone.  On my regional boards, guys will sometimes post requests for "who's available" on short notice and stuff like that.  You can reply to those posts with your suggestions and even self-suggestions.

Good luck

Follow the link to my site, or go to my profile, and email me.

I'll happily share what wisdom and knowledge I have, but will also freely admit that there are many more knowledgeable ladies here on TER.  Some offer career guidance/consulting for a fee, and are definitely worth it.   :-)

Good luck to you!!
