Why I like Newbies...

I used to dislike meeting newbies because I found their nervousness/anxiety to be contagious... but time seems to have changed my outlook.  Nowadays, I am happy to receive date requests from newbies and definitely try to make their first foray into this hobby both as pleasurable and instructive as possible.   :-)

Here's why:

1) very understanding of, and willing to comply with screening requirements (sometimes so eager, it seems they'd give me a blood sample if I asked for it lol)

2) follow all my procedural requests to the letter for the day-of and at beginning of our date

3) usually have noticeably just showered, shaved, and made every effort to be well-groomed.  I love the clean smell of soap and toothpaste!

4) respectful, considerate attitude (even if anxious) including COMPLIMENTS (hey, a little flattery can go a long way..... even with professionals)

5) newbies are often a bit shy, and I find that to be a very refreshing change of pace  :-)

6) the eagerness to do everything right in order to get an "Okay" or a future reference is very welcome.  Having someone actively currying my favor is.... well... not priceless, but a wonderful feeling (not in a power-trip way) in contrast to my usual dates.

7) they say THANK YOU prior to leaving

Yes, a lot of these are little things and/or are those that are regularly mentioned here... but the "little things" can and do add up to a VERY pleasurable experience.  :-

that I thought most clients did those things. Finding out that is not the norm does not change my opinion that it should be.

I certainly would not think of doing otherwise. Why would I not not do what I can to make it a positive experience for us both

No matter what we talking about so yes I love newbies cause I love knowing I'm someone's first or one of the firsts at least ! It's cool.

Hmmm...I think I do these seven things all the time  :-)

D.

.... that is, a noticeable shyness, eagerness, and overall grateful mien even many years into hobbying.

But most lose that, and understandably so: it's just not fresh and new anymore.   Not saying there's anything wrong with that... goodness knows I'm pretty darn jaded so I'm not knocking anyone for becoming thus.... I'm simply stating that when I get to meet someone who's still looking at this world with fresh eyes, it brightens up my viewpoint too.   And I like that.  :-)
