In my opinion keeping prostitution illegal is a nonsensical joke. The same politicians that make these absurd laws are seeing prostitutes every day. Many of these politicians are perverts who go with underage providers who are trafficked and also enjoy the really sickening way out abnormal sex. But, they never seem to get busted. What irony. I hope that this movement, headed by this attorney, will bring some intelligence to the political arena. However, I won't hold my breath as I have no faith anymore in anything that government ignoramuses are involved in.

Wherein a well reviewed gal gets busted and opts to assist LE in stings. I think I can recall this being reported on TER twice in the almost ten years I have been a member here. The first was in Chicago about 6-7 years ago, the second, I believe, was in the DC area about 2-3 years ago.
There was also a very well known TER hobbyist who got busted and set up stings for LE as well several years ago.
But it is safe to say that this is a rare occurrence and should not affect your decisions.

I've seen ladies who have been reviewed on TER and several who haven't been. I really don't worry about the TER reviewed ladies. The ones that haven't been, it takes a lot of research and a bit of luck.
What type of research specifically?
I'll Google the number, the email if they have one, check to see if the photos are used elsewhere. If they have a name, I'll do some searches using that.
What I'm looking for is consistency. On occasion a gem turns up, but that is not often the case.

I have seen close to 100 different providers over the last 5 years or so, and probably had over 200 dates and never, ever run into LE. I think that how I screen has something to do with that, but really it comes down to odds. And the odds are on your side.
LE is present in a tiny, tiny, tiny percentage of dates, so even if you are a complete idiot the odds are very high that you never see LE. There are other things you can do to make it even less likely, but that is probably the difference between having a .001% chance of being busted and a .0001% chance.
The point is that if you have not met LE, it is probably almost completely because the odds are in your favor, and not because you are smart. So you can take that one of two ways - either never assume you are safe and have it all figured out, or don't worry at all because even if you act like a complete idiot, the odds are you won't get caught. And if you do get caught, the odds are still in your favor if you keep your mouth shut and get a lawyer.
I do believe one thing is important - never, ever, ever, ever discuss sex with a provider until you are with her and both have your clothes off, alone, in a room. If you follow that one simple rule, you will be in much better shape should you be unlucky enough to meet LE. So the flip side is true - if she asks what you want, or otherwise tries to discuss sex, it is a very strong sign that you should see someone else.

I hope what you say is correct. I do now understand that the odds of getting into trouble with the law is very small. But, it's still there if you are one of the unlucky one's. I am very curious about something. If I employ an escort from an agency and pay with my credit card, she outcalls to my apartment or hotel room, how in the world can LE do anything? No money was exchanged for sex as the escort receives no cash. Even if, once she arrives at my place, I say sexual things to her, are we not two adults just having a good time together? This is the reason I think that I would prefer outcall over incall every time. Even if the escort were part of a sting operation and came to your place was there anything done illegally?

Not scared my friend. I've lived long enough to know when to be extra cautious. This has not been my lifestyle for quite some time and I just want to cover all bases, if that is OK with you. Let's see how brave you are when you are arrested and your photo and details are in the local newspaper. Maybe you don't have anyone in your life that cares. But, most of us do and have a lot to lose. Besides, this is a Newbie board where all types of questions should be allowed. I'm trying to decide whether I should just hop on a plane to a country where prostitution is legal, which is in most countries. Panama and Costa Rica come to mind.
