END OF MESSAGE

I have come to find that the most difficult part about being a call girl is not having little to no reviews.

I am hoping that some veteran providers can remember how difficult it was when they started and can shed some wisdom to help us newbie get a leg up so to speak.

How to attract and retain great clients?

Best place to advertise?

I have heard to take professional pictures but lets remember we are choosing this line of work to help generate income that we do not have. I cant afford to post on a ad for 300.00 or pay for professional pics that are additional 200-400.

In your opinion what suggestions would you make?

Please feel free to share your thought and comments.

....1. you can post an ad on your TER regional ad board once every 7 days for free.
2. You can post a photo on the photo only board once a day. A friend with a good camera can take good pictures of you for this purpose.
3. You can participate on your TER regional discussion board so potential clients in your area will know about you and get a sense of your personality. (make your comments pertinent to the topic)
4. Read the Self-Help Center for guidelines on how TER requires these things to be done.
Self-Help Center link is under the Info & Policy section of the site map. Click on site map link at the bottom of any page.
5. Read back several pages here on the Newbie Board for more info.
6. Keep asking questions here.

Welcome

In my humble opinion, good photos are the prime reason that a gal will get business over another comparably priced gal.  Men are very visually oriented.  So, my advice is to spend the money, even $1,000-2,000 dollars for a top notch photographer.  If you are serious about this profession and do due diligence on your marketing, etc., you will recoup that money very quickly.

Just my 2 cents.

What's important is you, and how you "sell" yourself as a provider. Your ad and website should be as descriptive as they can be, without being too explicit. Are you naughty, kinky, sweet, submissive. Sell that. I would say most gentleman in this hobby are not really "hobbyists". They don't write reviews, they may skim them, but many have never even heard of TER.

You attract and retain great clients by being yourself :) by being someone they'd like to see again. And if the girl they were sold in the ad, both in looks and personality, is the girl they meet, they'll be back. They may or may not write reviews, but honestly, you don't need them to be financially successful in this "business" imo.

I have no professional photos, and I may never have any taken. I don't have a glitzy website and plenty of ladies here don't either.

There are also a lot of guys who won't bite until someone else has confirmed that she's not LE/rip-ff and delivers as advertised.

And the reviews will come, they always do eventually. But in the interim, I don't think she should feel that she can't be successful without them. Because in my experience, and in my opinion, she can :)

I've seen a number of ladies with zero reviews; I'll take that chance once I can establish some sort of legitimacy.

Just a couple of side note - the biggest single problem I've seen when it comes to just using photos is that they get borrowed and used by others.  The other would be to suggest making a website, there are plenty of templates to use.  Make sure the site contains sufficient info to answer the basic questions.

any reason why you wouldn't  write a review after TOFTT? It sure would have helped an escort with a good first review and if there were issues concerning the escort would have warned hobbyists.

Kind of presumptuous of you to make that statement. There are a lot of guys that don't write reviews and there are even more who don't even use this site.

As far as my review history, if you prefer to make that assessment by all means.. That's your prerogative. I don't feel the need to justify or defend myself to anyone.

If you see an unreviewed provider and chose not to write a review, you may have taken one for yourself but you did not take one for the team.

It takes a while to get up an running.
Look at my reviews (TER had to give me a new account as I was overseas too many years they couldnt verify my old one)... it took me 18 months to get just a couple of reviews.. then suddenly it hits breakout you can see the dribs and drabs between my reviews then 6 just in this month..when you're hot you're hot so to speak.  You need patience.

Pics:  Get SOME good ones.. but always throw in a few selfies.  Because there are SO many doctored photos and fake ads out there  so guys like to see a couple of selfies that look like your pro pics just to know you ARE real and DO look the same as your pro pics.
Take a selfie with a date or newspaper.. guys want to know if you photos are FRESH. (and not taken 6 monts ago before a girl gained 30 lbs and cut off all her hair after her teeth fell out lol..YKWIM)

Get on as many sites as you can .. there are lots of them out there not just this one.

Something that I just don't understand. If a girl puts up fake or extremely edited photos on her webpage or advertisement, how in the world does that make any sense? Does she actually think that a guy responding will not notice when he meets her? Unless she is in the business of robbery only, I can't see how any guy is going to stay and pay her if she is not the girl in the photos. Does she actually think that a guy will feel sorry for her or will feel embarrassed about backing out? Possibly a couple of guys may be intimidated, feel sorry, or be embarrassed. But, the majority will just leave once they see her. Some may even be angry and she puts herself in danger through her own fault.  So, again I say, what is the reasoning for the bait and switch technique? Or, is it really just a bunch of malarkey from people that really don't have a clue? Are there many of these bait and switch scenarios going on? Also, when on the telephone with the girl I would imagine it would be smart to say "Are the photos of you and have they been edited? If, when we meet, you are not the girl in the photos you understand we will not be doing business".

I was exactly where you are now less than two months ago. No reviews, no P411 account, no clients. Just brand new and concerned about how to proceed. What I did have was a business plan, a clear concept of my 'brand', and a decent, but cheap, website (that host has turned out to be a huge disappointment, but that's another story). I had no professional photos, only selfies. I still don't have professional photos.

I found my way here and started posting questions similar to yours. I got the following advice (which was sound):

1. Post on your local board discussions when you have something relevant and substantive to say. Don't reply just to spam up the board with your link

2. Post to the ad board for your area, which is allowed once every 7 days. I haven't done this yet for reasons that will become obvious momentarily.

3. Post pictures to the photo only board daily. That I did a couple of times.

4. Be patient. The hardest one to follow, I know :)

I was lucky in that there were a couple of very kind gentlemen who elected to take the chance on a totally unknown quantity and also are review writers so my drought did not last too terribly long. One thing I did do was offer to meet for coffee or a drink prior to making a real date so people could get some level of comfort. I only did that once, as it turned out, and not with either of my first 2 clients.

I had an ad briefly on an ad mall I can't mention by name. I actually got very few contacts through that site and I believe that's largely because of my photo quality, but can't be sure.

Once my initial reviews were in things really picked up for me immediately after, but that's slowed down a bit as my last review was some time ago. For me this is no issue at all as I am a very low volume provider and pretty much all of the people I've met so far have turned into repeat friends.  If that weren't the case I would likely be doing things a bit differently than I am currently (asking for reviews if clients don't offer to do them, getting professional photos, posting to the boards more frequently, re-upping my paid ad, etc).

Hope some of this helps and good luck. Feel free to PM if you have any specific follow-on questions you're not comfortable addressing in this thread.

Just a few months ago, I returned to the business after being gone for more than 5 years.  Placed my ad on RoomService2000 (Chicago-area ad site, mostly) which had always worked for me in the past.
Now, all I had in my ad were some pretty bad selfies but that was all I could do at that time.
But I got NOTHING.  Week after week of nothing except a few guys who I'd known prior to my hiatus.

I was getting very discouraged, thinking it must be my age, weight gain, whatever.... then as a last ditch effort (as I couldn't spend any more $$ on advertising) I joined TER, got a free website, and placed a low-low-special on my local Ad Board.  Got lots and lots of contacts and scheduled dates, but most of them wound up cancelling.   Why?  Because they would book first, THEN go to look at my reviews.

The long gap made most (even many guys I'd known in the past) too leery to take a chance.   But that low price-tag did entice a handful of people over within  the week I ran that ad, and about half of them submitted new reviews for me.

Side note: I also was lucky enough that a good friend offered to take some photos for me.  They were taken with an iPhone and while not great, they were much better than what I'd had.  The amount of contacts I got after those pics went up was about double.  And this was a few days after I'd posted my "special".

Once those new reviews were posted??  Voila!  Up and running, no need to run any specials again since then, and all is right with my little escorting world.  :-)  I have my one ad on RS2000 and run ads here on TER from time to time.  I get lots of traffic to my site from here, but my screening requirements put off many of them.

Now, please keep in mind that my situation differs from yours as I was not lacking in  reviews, but rather lacking in RECENT reviews.

As to your other questions....

Every lady has her own style or personality which she conveys via her advertising & website, which should be a reflection of how she conducts herself one-on-one.   What works for one person may not work for another.

Whatever type YOU are, trust me, there are men out there looking for that.

Where to advertise?  That really depends on your area.  But definitely utilize the ad boards here on TER.  P411 has a resources section with links to many ad sites.  Check out your local area on each site to see how many ladies advertise there.  If it's just a few, then it may not be worth your advertising dollars.  But if there are dozens, then that's where you need to place your ad.  I know it hurts to spend money when very little is coming in, but it IS necessary.

Client retention?  Honey, if you figure that one out, teach ME how!!  LOL!

Professional photos?  I'd been working steadily for about 5-6 weeks when I got mine done.  I saw a significant increase in date requests almost immediately.  Definitely worth it.   But keep some amateur shots on your site, too, as plenty of potential clients are distrustful of ladies with all pro shots.

To get it done within a limited budget: Check to see if there are any photography session offers on Groupon in your area.  Another idea is to see if there are any local classified ads (like on craigslist) from new photographers or student photographers looking to do work either for their portfolios or just the experience.

If you really don't want to spend ANY money, you can put it out there that you're willing to barter services with a professional photographer.   Obviously, book your photo shoot exchange session around any cash-paying clientele so you're not losing money that way.

OK, that's all I've got for now, but please feel free to PM or email me with any other questions you may have.

Best of luck!
Debbie
