seeking.. you seem to have hit it right on the head..

TER denies reviews for whatever THEY seem to deem a valid reason, but having a one word answer as to why it was rejected really doesn't help you, or anyone.  Maybe, if TER allowed more reviews and fixed the way it makes us jump through hoops to actually post a review, more of us would write them.

But with no reason rejections, and 1 word response isn't a reason, making us fill out a huge form that's not even relevant if there already is a review, having them arbitrarily change our scores, because we rated someone 'too high' or 'too low' in THEIR opinion, while THEY'RE not in the room, don't know what the lady in question did or didn't do, how hot or cold she was, etc etc, i think posting reviews has just gotten to be too big a hassle for many of us.

I know I've been rejected, for various reasons, but was able to fix them.  Personally, if I see someone and rate her a 10/10 and I find my review downgraded to an 8/8 or something, it would likely be the last time I'd bother.  And my bet is that's happened and those who've been downgraded feel insulted and don't repeat the process to potentially be abused again.  And as I've written previously about a guy who gave a lady a high score only to have TER lower it, then having to contend with the lady being upset as SHE assumed he was happy with what she provided, it all becomes to screwed up to bother writing them.

If TER cares about this issue, and I can't imagine it's JUST DC, but probably everywhere, then they need to address these issues system wide and come up with a workable solution.  Until that happens, my guess is a lot of people will simply not bother.

I see so many providers here, and on Eros, etc, and see comparatively few reviews, and just maybe, all the issues revolving around writing them has already started scaring people off..

How many of you have not 'bothered' lately?  This could be an interesting poll.  Even one TER might want to sponsor on their front page..

POLL: Have you seen a provider, but not bothered to write a review because of TER related issues or problems with writing one?  And if you answer yes, what was your reason?

Just a few reminders -

The rules prohibit discussions of providers who have been banned or de-listed (hint:  if they have ben around awhile, andyou can't find any reviews, they have probably been banned or de-listed).

Messages should not refer to other boards!

Links to provider's or agency's websites may get your post pulled, if the provider or agency has not gotten the TER gold seal and I think the post is an ad for the provider or agency.

I have just about given up on trying to get a review posted.  The last three I submitted just never appeared, and not for the reasons you state.  I know Jill of BDJ has not been de-listed nor have the others.  It has become quite a hassel!  I wonder if this response will make it to the board?!

Posts and reviews are two very different things....  Message to the board with replies and such are all overseen by Moderators, who ahve the power to enforce the rules, which might mean removing posts or threads, or not allowing other posts.

Reviews are all handled by TER Staff.  Moderators have no control over those.  Not sure what the reasons are for your reviews not being posted, but you can determine thoseyourself, by going and checiking out your account status - it'll have a list of your reviews, and the reasons they were rejected....

Typically, full reviews are not allowed on the message board,  min-reviews are in a grey area, I tend to allow them when I think a. the reviewer is legit and b. that the reviewer is really going to post a full review to the DB.  If a or b seems sketchy to me, I will not alow the mini-review.....

Well, I must say that I am impressed that TER cares enough to ask the questions and then get back to me on my concerns!  Thanks. :)

just to slightly correct you..

TER doesn't care or respond, RCP does... he's much better than the management.. !  I think it's good to have an attentive moderator onboard.. But realize TER probably pays little if any attention to any of us!

Yeah,

I've just about given up myself.
I've attempted posting 4 reviews over the past year.

All have been rejected as Inconsistent.
Comparing/Contrasting the rules I can't see why.

Oh well, but I've come to like the discussion area as much as the official review area.  The high reject rate of reviews would seem hurt the purpose.  I understand trying to weed out fakes, but I know my reviews have not been good enough to be a "Self-Review" nor trashing enough that I'm out to bad mouth a lady.

It just seems that "so-so" gets rejected.

Well, As soon as my schedule permits hopefully I will get a chance to see LILA.  I'm sure there will be straight thumbs up there.
