Will solve all of your problems. TaylorOkay. Here's the deal. I live sort of in the boondocks. The local providers available really only advertise on bp. Sometimes their ads are usually only up for a day or two. TER does not have any information on them when I input phone numbers etc. The only well reviewed providers I have searched are two hours way in nearby large cities. Quite a drive. So I am trying to find a way to determine a safe and decent provider who is not well reviewed. What I do: I google the phone numbers and find consistent photos of the provider listed in multiple cities, the phone numbers are consistent as well. If I would contact them, and they agreed to meet me at a local hotel or even agreed to come to my home, would that indicate that they are genuine?
Would it make sense to say, pay their hourly rate to invite them into my home for just a glass of wine to first get to know them. I am thinking both of LE risk and getting ripped off. I am single, live alone and my long girlfriend broke up with me months ago. Could use some company. Thank you.

By going to the large city, meeting with well-reviewed providers, and building your reputation (assume you've joined a verification site), that means more established providers will consider you to be serious instead of a time waster.
Once established yourself, then can begin to ask those on tour if they'd be willing to visit next time they swing through your town - assuming you're near a travel corridor.
Absent that, could post In Search Of (ISO) requests for your general area, and Private Mail (PM) through TER to those who respond so the board in general doesn't know your BFE city's name.
Lower costs of living in remote areas are offset with higher prices for some of the refined luxuries in whom we choose indulge. Guessing that moving to a larger town is not an option? I know it's likely not feasible, but it's a hail mary solution.
That area is pretty well quiet. I am a good 3 hours away from you. I would not be willing to drive that far (6 hours round trip) unless I had met you first and there was a big deposit. I assume that area is worth a few day visit as it does not have any gals out there (really, there isn't, except for the few that come in for a day or so as you said). I do not know of any gal that comes up there that I could suggest to you. I don't think any of the well known ones even make it closer than 2 hours to you.
Perhaps see if the well reviewed ones are willing to meet you half way, but then again they might not be willing to on the first visit. It is a big circle, talloak. You don't want to waste your time trying a gal out after driving all that way, to only not find what you are seeking long term. We don't want to drive all that way to only have our time wasted (which can happen, not saying you specifically) and it would be a situation where we'd aim to have a few people to see while in the area.
I saw your post on our local board. Perhaps guys and gals will chime in on what is genuine out by you. I have been asking TER to add more WI cities, versus Milwaukee or other cities. Just too much ground to cover with "other cities". Madison doesn't even have a listing.

Many are happy to make a two or three hour drive; but they will likely require a two or three hour minimum appointment as well.
That's what I did almost a year ago and it was the best three hours I had ever spent. We still get together regularly. Distance is not an issue.
Or you could meet each other half way? There are many possibilities. But choosing a well reviewed gal who is punctual and trustworthy is, I think, the key. That will ease most of your worries, and everything else should fall nicely into place.
Do the research to find a well reviewed provider in the nearest big city. Take the time to save enough to buy the type of encounter you can remember for years. Then make the drive to see her, you won't regret doing it.
