...and no, I don't consider myself among them--I hoped someone could help me find a way to view the video chats. I used to be able to see them on the old chat format but now just get text and a blank white screen--I've tried without success to see Sky's, Raquel's and Tami's Chats.
I am, however, probably one of the least computer savvy TER members so if you can, please use very lay terms. Hoping I can see the Cream Team chat that's coming up. Thanks.
This seems like a technical support question, and TER would be in the best position to help you. Did you try emailing [email protected] and [email protected]?
Also, you might try this:
Click "Contact Us" at the top of the screen, and then "Report a Tech Issue".
TER should also post something in the chat area about the system requirements for using chat, if they know them.

I had a similar difficulty when the new chat format started up. After talking directly to Staff, who was very helpful, my particular problem turned out to be with Java.
Seems that the new video chat is designed to run on Microsoft's version of Java and not Sun's. If you have ever installed a new update to your Java on your machine, this is probably the problem. I had to remove the old Java, listed as Runtime Java, and install a new copy of the IE browser.

...after de-installing and then re-installing all kinds of "stuff" (my version of computerspeak) I went to Staff's Video Chat test tonight and all systems are go. Not sure what is was exactly that did the trick so if anyone else is having trouble I probably won't be able to help you.
