On a thread a few days back I asserted that the appearance scores in reviews are heavily influenced by the performance received.
This assertion seemed obvious to me, but another, evidently more self aware, hobbiest begged to differ stating that he could totally keep the looks and performance separate.
At first I thought he was just deceiving himself, but later I wondered if perhaps I am the one who doesn't know whats going on around here. So I decided to do a little research to see whats what.
I did four all city searches of the board with the extremes of looks and performance to see if the numbers could tell us anything worthwhile.
Here are the results:
A search of the ugly (looks 1-4), but talented (performance 8-10) escorts across the entire board returned
4 reviews.
A search of the drop dead gorgeous (looks 9-10), but frigid (Performance 2-3) escorts returned
11 reviews
(I did not include performance reviews scoring a 1 because thats a ripoff on our system and thus there would be no actual performance to be judged.)
A search for the both ugly (1-4) and frigid (2-3) returned
103 reviews
Finally, and most tellingly, a search for the both beautiful (9-10) and talented (8-10) returned
862 reviews
There are 2 conclusions I believe can be drawn from this data alone.
1) That the truly beautiful escorts are simply spectacular lovers while the ugly escorts, in total defiance of avis philosophy, are terrible ones.
or
2) That the performance and looks scores on the reviews on this site are inextricably linked by the overwhelming majority of reviewers.
But I thought everyone knew that already.
...the ladies have been rating me as "a dud".
That a large number of attractive and talented women are drawn to the escort profession.
That doesn't explain the almost total lack of attractive but untalented or the similar lack of unattractive but talented escorts.
Well, actually, it's probably not fair to impose on our resident statistician, Mathesar, especially since he just put up his stats on LA escorts.
However, it shouldn't be too difficult to test for a correlation between performance and appearance, simply by performing a linear regression (y = mx + b), where x = performance and y = appearance. You'd be looking for the correlation coefficient, with values lying between -1 and +1. Values above +0.7 would indicate a positive correlation between the two values, while those below -0.7 would indicate a negative correlation. Any good HP calculator would let you do this, and lord knows there are enough data points to make it meaningful.
My very first correlation coefficient was done in a summer junior high school class, probably measuring something pretty dull. This looks to be more interesting.

Actually, my report does contain this number (see link) among a number of other statistics that I think are interesting.
I guess that I put so much stuff in the report that it isn't easy to find any particular item. Sigh!
Actually, I think any value above 0.0 indicates a positive correlation. I'm not sure how positive it has to be before you say it is significant, but I have a great deal of respect for your knowledge and am certainly willing to accept your value of plus or minus 0.7 as indicating a significant correlation.
...it's all there in Mathesar's report! Next time I'll go through it more carefully before firmly placing foot in mouth. Thanks for the link.
My own statistics are pretty rusty these days, so I shouldn't say anything else about correlation coefficients without making a bigger fool of myself.
The the R value from linear regression (Pearson or Spearman will do) and square it. The R2 is a measure of the percent of variability in the dependent variable explained by the independent. Thus, if the correlation is 0.70, then 49% or the variability in appearance explained by performance. One should also plot the data to show that the correlation is not explained by extreme values. I would suggest gathering a random sample of several hundred reviews for the analysis.

In the June MATHESAR REPORT you are number 10 (out of 47) in the group of escorts charging $321 to $400 for 60 minutes. This is an EXTREMELY competitive group. So the numbers back up the reviewer quoted above.
The details of what is being discussed are probably not worth your time to understand. The essence is that guys don't form their judgments of appearance and performance independently. If you know what score they give for one you can make a pretty good guess what they will give for the other. Not a perfect guess, but a pretty good one.

No doubt there is a correlation between looks and performance in scores, but the test data has an inherent flaw. It's not random. The reviews that you seek to disprove your theory are not going to be present in volume because the women who are affected by these reviews don't let that happen. A provider will block reviews on TER before she's going to let it kill her career (or more likely her scam). The threads are full of B&S warnings on providers who have no reviews on the board.
If you think most providers can just "block reviews" at their whim, I want some of what you are smoking. Ask some providers about that sometime.
I didn't mean they can selectively block them. They can prevent any reviews from appearing on TER at all. Good providers work to maintain their reputation. Bad one's work to maintain their anonymity.

I venture to say that if so, it is difficult for a very unattractive provider to get a good score no matter how great she is in her performance because the reviewer is actually grading his own performance. How often we read comments like "it's my fault, not hers" and yet he gives a really bad score in the performance. We've got a very frustrated hobbyist who couldn't complete for whatever reasons and yet he blamed the lack of completion on the provider by giving her a bad score she doesn't deserve; yet he had the audacity of saying in the review how hard she's tried.

If the guy is turned off and negative from the moment he steps in the door, he's not going to perform well, which has got to have some effect on the girl. Plus, if the guy is negative, he's not giving positive reinforcement to what the girl's doing. So, she's likely just to try to get it over with so she can get him out of there.
If you're a sociology major, try looking for less extreme variations, like a 6-7 in looks with a 9-10 in performance versus 9-10 in looks and 6-7 performance.
An extremely good looking woman can get me off, even multiple times, quicker, easier and with less gymnastics needed, than an unattractive woman. And afterwards, I am happy as I could be. Hell just read my CJ Carrington review. I would have paid her just to stand there naked and let me look at her, but fortunately I did not have to do that. A beautiful woman is a spectacular site for those of us who appreciate them. Men are very visual creatures and it helps the experience to have a beautiful woman in bed with us.
