They are probably common among some people that can afford it. What I can typically afford I fear would be a potential insult that it might be too low, but then I don’t tip so I lack proper experience tipping.

I think the best financial compliment I can “pay” a lady is to see her again and I do repeat when I’m impressed.  

I once tried to buy a certain flower for someone special but it was out of season and I was almost late due to my running around looking for it

What is proper tipping etiquette. Guys, do you always tip your provider or only if the service was off the charts if so how much?Lady's how often do clients tip and how much?

You'll read that on a number of provider websites. I'd like to think its the truth. I rarely tip, however, when a provider is incredibly generous with her time, I will tip. The amount depends on the circumstances.

A tip whatever the amount is appreciated never required.
I do have quite a few gents who tip anywhere from 20-100 or they may just include a small gift instead.
Tip only if you feel like it and an amount that you are comfortable with:)
