I agree that Amber is better looking now than when she was at her prime doing porn.  I believe Amber herself has said the same.  The one thing to me that put Amber above most of her peers in her prime was that she was I think the first pornstar to have a sense of her body image while filming.  By that I mean that she always positioned herself so that her body looked it's best regardless of the sexual positioning... She always pointed her feet to make her legs and calves look shapely, she kept her back arched to accentuate the curve of her butt... You knew that Amber was always aware of where the camera was and how to get the most out of the shot.

That's a lost art today.  I'm a fan of the medium shot... I like to see the woman's entire body during a sex scene, not a gynecological close-up of genitals... for some reason today's directors think that it's necessary to show an extreme close-up of the penetration for minutes on end to prove that they're actually having sex.  Today's starlets don't need to be as self-aware as the older ones did, and Amber was the master.

I think Brittany Andrews, P.J. Sparxx and Taylor Wayne have all improved with age, as has Bionca Seven.  Nina Hartley is ageless... she looks the same now as she did 10 years ago, and still has the best ass in porn.  Keisha is still smokin' hot.  

Many of the more mature pornstars are taking better care of their bodies now then when they were young and carefree, and it shows... They are actually in better physical shape today then back when your average pornstar wasn't a hardbody.  Maybe it's because they now have to compete with all the feature dancers that have gotten into the business.

While not currently active, and I don't know how she looks today, I thought the hottest woman in Porn in her day was Celeste.

Now, on to Jenna Jameson.... let's put the "she's not that hot - I wouldn't fuck her for $1000" crap to rest.  Yes, Jenna looked better when she was younger... but she is still one of the hottest looking ladies in porn, and even today there aren't many bodies out there to match hers.  She might not be your cup of tea, but to say that she isn't hot or attractive is just insane.  I lean toward busty blondes, but I can STILL appreciate and admire the beauty of someone like Nikita Denise or Jenna Haze.  So let's give Jenna her props!

There are two who jump out above the rest.  Jill Kelly and Amber Lynn.  The way they've shaped their careers and their bodies should be in a textbook.  The early Jill was average. But now she's an immense star and business woman- a borderline seven then, a 10+ now.

Amber on the other hand, was hot superstar then, but somehow mangaged to improve with age.  A 9 then a 10+ now.  Which is extremely hard to do over that span of time. looks in better shape now than in her twenties.  Her spread with Teri Weigel on Teri's site was truly eye catching.

To me both have a great blend of youthful appearance and a mature classiness to them.  

any stars who you think upped their appearance over the years?

Note: anyone know how's Teri doing nowadays.  I haven't seen her since she had her back surgery awhile ago.

Amber is it! so you got that right and Jill is certainly ok. By that I mean Jill is smart with a business head and her own production company and stuff, but I don't think she's a 10+ right now. I think maybe a 9. I agree that she was barely 7 or so when she started out (in terms of her figure mostly).

By the way thanks for not mentioning Jenna (please, gimme a break!). Yes she's the biggest and yes she's the most successful and yes she rules the porn world and so on and so on. But being a huge commercial success is not the same thing as being 'spectacular' and 'classy" IMHO. I can't wait for that E! True Story to air so folks can goof on her! lol  

I think her 'mainstream' success is going to her head frankly. I don't mean to be nasty or mean but how many people have seen Jenna with very little makeup at the end of long night dancing at a club or a dau's signing at a convention? I bet if you had you couldn't honestly give her anything higher than an 8 for looks.

Jenna is the queen of porn and her looks are awsome jenna is a 10+ all the way around she is smart sexy kinky funnt and most of all beautiful no amber is a 10+ also she is smart funny good looking but jenna rules the porn industry even in ambers peak she was not as huge as jenna is, i dont think jilly kelly is all that hot maybe an 8.5
but thats my opinion

she JUST doesn't do it for me. and yes, to say she's in some way "not pretty' is kinda ridiculous (i'd give a 9 for looks when she's at her best, 8 on average). truth is, i don't share your penchant for busty blondes Eddie ... i actually like/prefer small-chested BRUNETTES, so there!  LOL  (it's true, i'll take Nikita in a heart beat!)

plus, i think there's an mathematical relationship that applies here (ok it's partly in jest but there is some truth to it) which also goes by the name "least-common-denominator measure of popularity"

in laymen's terms: anything/anyone that is SO popular simply *has* to be mediocre. the more it appeals to the "unwashed masses" the more mediocre it must be (according to this law). in fact i think it was H.L. Mencken that coined this phrase, if i'm not mistaken. but i think it DOES in some measure apply to the case of Ms. Jenna Jameson, SUPER-PORNSTAR!  :-)

so ... don't shoot the messenger. plus everything on this board is YMMV "fiction" anyway, right?  ;-)

the only way to find out how pretty or smokin she is is to meet with her Right???

we all can look at the videos or mag lay outs but remember eddie and singleton there is a lot of airbrushing going around on photos and tons of makeup on a videp set


i do think all those ladies are smokin hot amber jenna keisha ect... the true test is when you meet them and get down and dirty with them.

Anyway, I don't think we're in disagreement, since you conceded that Jenna is attractive, just not your style.  Nikita Denise does nothing for me... I wouldn't pay $1000 to see her, but that doesn't mean I don't acknowledge that she's a beautiful and sexy woman... my major beef with all of the Jenna detractors is that they talk about how unattractive she really is, blah, blah, blah...  It seems that when you're at the top, people just love to take shots at you.

As to you you least common denominator theory of popularity, I don't think that applies to judging beauty... That applies more to things like art and literature, including pop culture and mass media such as TV shows and movies.  When it comes to beauty, there's actually a theory of symmetry, that the more symmetrical a person's face is, the more people find them attractive.

My take on Jenna is she can look really good and times not so.I believe she had some plastic surgery on her nose and chin and a course her breast.I believe Jenna a 7+ but most people rate her higher because she does porn.But i rank her 10+ on film.

you Sir are right! ... Mencken's "LCD" theory of mass popularity does not apply to beauty as much as it does to record sales and what-not in pop culture (unless of course Jenna's vid-title sales are taken into account in the same way! ;-)

it's also very true that facial symmetry leads to judgements of attractiveness. no question about it: facial symmetry invokes youth, health and fertility in women. in fact, this phenomenon is related to another  curious one (re)discovered recently by psychologists: the average face (in terms of shape/size of features) of ANY population (regardless of race or culture) is always perceived to be more "attractive" than any one of the given individuals ... the "averaging" (of size and more importantly shape) naturally tends to produce (more) symmetrical faces


so in conclusion: the more "attractive" you all think Jenna is ... the more "average" she must be!

This is a tough question. There are a few that are exceptional. First off lets get this straight the best business woman hands down is Jenna Jameson ( with the help of her PR people and wicked that made her) Second  would be Jill Kelly even though i hate to admit it. But shes also not one that has done this on her own business wise there both Names for parent companys in a manner of speaking.

When it comes to just exceptional bodies of work Nina Hartley is exceptional. She looks as good as ever. So does Jill Kelly probably best of her career. But i think one of the best was Savannah wow what a looker too bad she killed her self. And you cant leave out sylvia saint either. Really there are about 10 woman that really define porn today and back in the day too. Savannah, Amber Lynn, Nina Hartley, Jenna Jameson, Shane in the seymore days, Kiesha, Ginger Lynn, Traci lords even though she left porn wow, Seka too, Im sure there are a couple im missing but among this group they have basically set porn today and then upside down..

The sad thing is there is no pornstars today that are gonig to have the impact these ladies have had. Its jsut not possible.

Barbara Dare- wow she's was one of  my fav stars in the 80's.  Still remember scenes with her sharon mitchel, erica boyer, christy canyon, amber, and nina hartley.  How does ms Dare look now?? A ten for nasty-biteyourlips-seductive hotness.  Very distinctive moans too.

On Jenna-  She's beautiful to look at but she's still a "school girl" type with a tremendous chest.   Facewise- Jenna has a round face/jaw, and her lips are low on her face.  Jill kelly has a better face structure- thinner with soft angles.  I've seen them both on tour.  Jenna looks an 8+. I thought Jenna was just a house dancer until one of the girls pointed her out.  Jill kelley is a much better looking in real life. Also, snottiness has something to do with how a person looks. But agreed both are superb business people.
