First of all not everyone has a major in English like you do so we mispell words once in a while, no big deal.

Second ever heard of a dictionary?

Third if it bothers you that much write to the powers that be at TER and ask them to get a spell check installed.

Forth if it truly bothers you stop reading the reviews.

Oh did I mention some of us are average guys who missaspellawordnownthen?

You need a HOBBY.

The misguided idea of the ladies reviewing hobbyists has been raised and quickly killed many times.(something about "fragile egos" was mentioned I recall)
How about reviewing the reviewer on his spelling, sentence structure, syntax and overall review readability? I think also the more nit-picky the reviewer is in his review should earn him closer scrutiny under rules of proper accepted English and literary form.
I just finished reading a less than flattering review on an otherwise beautiful and highly respected SoCal provider. The review reflected the literary prowess of a common eight year old.

BTW - I'm a guy; So I don't want the brethren getting all pissy thinking this is a disgruntled provider venting

The review speaks of the reviewed.  But what most do not realize is that doing a search on the reviewer - and seeing how he rates & comments on the providers - basically gives his personality, style and value system totally away.  When I do this I find people that I would love to meet in person.  I also find people that I would wish to avoid at all costs!  I actually applaude the concept of a review for the guys...  I am somewhat insecure and think that it would be a big boost to my ego!

Oh, and peopleinglasshouses, please do not insult my kiddos, they actually do write better than most of the hobbiests that post on this board... ages - 8 & 12

they green two....

... I'm not so sure a review of the guys by the women would be a boost to ANYONE's ego.  Remember, WE'RE the customers, we're always right!

As others have mentioned, I too have always believed that reviews say as much about the reviewer as they do about the reviewed.

That said, I think that picking them apart based on grammar, spelling and syntax is pointless. For those for whom English isn't their first language, those with with dyslexia or those who simply lack the ability to turn a pretty phrase, this can be a harsh method of assesing who they are as a person.

Pretty is as pretty does, or so my Gran was wont to say. A nicely written paragraph isn't any substitute for being a decent human being. I don't need perfect spelling and adept use of a thesaurus to decide if you seem like a nice guy.

Indeed, it was due to a post by a provider about me that initially caused me to cease the use of my "given" TER id in favor of this pseudonym. Why? Well, I wrote a less than complimentary review of a provider who is fairly well known in the TER chat community. It was honest and based on my perception of the nature of the experience, but it didn't put her in the best light. She posted about it in the forum which led to my being lambasted for it in private TER mail because I "cost her business".

Anyway, enough jibber jabber about this... its Saturday, my lunch is ready, and a top down high speed drive through the mountains awaits me! Woooohoooooo!

to review hobbyists. I mean the providers like getting good reviews because it improves business. What exactly is the incentive for a provider to review a hobbyist. If she trashes him, he will certainly not return--and if she tends to be critical of hobbyists in general many who would see the criticism in themselves would avoid. I would not want any impediment to honesty in reviews--if a provider has the opportunity to flame any negative review, then many people would think twice before posting what they see as the truth. And the fact is that the truth of a provider's service, reliabilty, etc. can be gleaned by reading many reviews, not just one.

As far as grammar and spelling, many people on this site do not have english as their first language. I welcome all opinions. If you don't then just skip it.

All that being said, I see no problem adding a field to this forum where reviews are rated "Helpful" or "Not Helpful" like they do at Amazon--just keep it anonymous and emotionless.

There are some very good reasons to review the hobbyists and is one of Date-Check's primary functions.  It's called "screening verification services". Ladies need to know if a client tends to be less than pleasant, shorts them on payments, or just plain creepy (or even dangerous).  The guys may be the ones spending the money and want to ensure the best service for the buck, but as for the ladies, our lives can be at stake.  Escorts.com allows the provider to comment on the reviews posted by the clients.  All of the review sites should have this capability.  Whose to say someone isn't posting exaggerated truths or even complete lies about a provider?  If you place an ad in the newspaper about bad service you received from a local business, they at least have the opportunity to respond.  These review sites that don't allow a response is like placing a gag on the provider and not giving her freedom of speech rights as a business owner.  I feel that the ladies should be standing up for these rights as well.

I could find out what other members want to know and if my reviews and comments were useful. I don't think having my performance, odor, or the shape of my butt reviewed would matter to anybody, but if we could learn how to write more useful reviews, we all could benefit.

The truth of the matter is the Ladies "DO" review us. So ego, or not, you can bet your bottom dollar that notes are compared and contrasted, LOL. I don't write a lot of reviews, but when I do, I try to keep one basic thing in mind. These ladies are "People", and I can make my point without being hurtful, or making them sound like a "Commodity". Regarding the spelling and grammer, I'm probably the world's worst. So I plead guilty. I really am educated, LOL.

I try to be clear about what I rate - that the lady treat me with respect and provide a fantasy in exchange for me being respectful back and cash.  Simple - For the most part, almost all of the providers that I have seen (reviewed or not) have provided that fantasy .  I have been lucky!  and for that I thank you ladies - and you know who you are!  lol

See the link below for an example.

I will say, I read one on my ATF which that had far better writing mechanics and made my blood boil.  I don't know how attacking the verbally challenged reviewers is going to solve anything.
