My sons father is very much a part of our lives still. We just hate each other secretly and still raise them together as a team
He always does lovely things for me with the kids on all noted holidays. I bought him a new lawn mower because his was getting old. More powerful one too so he can mow my lawn and his on the same day 
A huge photo collage` of him and the kids since they were babies and the proverbial clothes that women have to buy men being that some don't know how to dress ( my ex is one of them)
And new shoes too! Always must have good shoes !

Ciara, as always, you have a perspective that is on the mark like no one else. My most prized Father's day present is a picture that I took of my daughter and the fish that she caught on Father's day 2 years ago. And Yup, they do think that I am bizarre, although so is the ex-Mrs.... but would they like it if it were any other way? My daughter's hugs and my son's smiles are what get me through most days!
Their logic defies everything that I have been taught - and that says something about education. with them there is no impossible, and few disappointments. So, thanks for the smile and a shared perspective, now if this board would just lighten up a bit.... it seems to be going in a dismal direction of late!!! or at least not as much funny ha ha, as it can be.! ~
