when rating appearance, let's get real. A 9 is "Model Material" and a 10 is "Once-in-a-Lifetime." We are talking magazine quality stuff here. That's what it says and that's what it should mean. An 8 is a hot girl that you would generally see at school or work or at a club and want to bang or marry or whatever. An 8 is great. While I can accept some leeway among 6-8s, a 9 or 10 is what it is. It is not who you would hire as a model if you owned a modeling agency, it's who you see modeling in magazines now. Now, if you really think that someone is model material but your preferred reading are issues of "Hatchet Face" and "Erotic Beer Gut" please note that in your review.

Is it just me or are the reviews turning into a literary battleground for the reviewing membership to pejoratively lash out at the previous reviewers? Several times lately I have read in the reviews malicious attacks on previous reviewers because the current reviewer felt the provider in question rated perhaps a "6" in appearance rather than the previously posted "8"
It is bad enough that this review system has given voice to a multitude of petty, bitter, socially retarded misogynists extracting their revenge on women by means of literary debasement. Now many of these mal-adjusted Lilliputians are attacking previous reviewers questioning and sitting in mean spirited judgment over previous evaluations of the ladies.
This review process is supposed to offer informative protection from ROBs, entertainment
and most of all "FUN". With the all to often cruel attacks taken against otherwise good providers now further degenerating into confrontational assaults on the previous reviewer(s) the direction I see it heading in is anything but....

...as well as the misogyny there is the one sided fawning. That has been the unchanged situation since day one.

Frankly, the fawning and grade inflated hagiography written by hobbyist knights seems to be the greater problem in my view.

every other month at this time.Let me add that I do enjoy your choice of words...infrequent as they come.

By the way,do your review scores take into consideration your state of being?

Tally-Ho!

...you need to me see me after twelve rounds of bacon sandwiches and a few brews.

...Do they get light sabers? If so, I wanna be one. Where do I sign up?

I dunno what hagiography means - wouldn't a better term be slutiography?  or prosiography?  or nymphgraphy?  And the knight thing: bad analogy: they received their estates because the tax collectors exacted payment-in-kind from poor farmer's wives and daughters by Fornication Under Command of the King (FUCK)

Your evaluation of a trend may be correct, but not much can be done about that.  No doubt reviews are subjective and biased, but you can read through the fluff to find facts.

The original purpose of reviews may have been to offer informative protection against ROBs.  I have only been on TER 9 months, so I don't have the full background.  This is still a key function of reviews, but now there is so much more.

(Ripoff vs legitimate) provider gets refined to (ok vs good vs fantastic) provider.  Factual details like CIM vs no CIM, greek vs no greek, help each hobbyist select based on his own interest.

how can anyone criticize anothers preferences. Your 10 can easily be my 7 and vice versa.

The ones that get me angry are the mean spirited attacks on providers that really work hard at what they do in both looks and performance and some asshole comes along and hits them with 5-6's just to hurt them. There is one guy in NYC that loves to hit a provider that has  great consistency of 8-10's and then wacks them with a poor review. I dont even think he has seen the women and you just reminded me to send a overdue PM to Staff.

As far as personal attacks on reviewers, take it with a grain of salt.

"petty, bitter, socially retarded misogynists extracting their revenge on women by means of literary debasement"

The seeming misogyny of some reviewers has long irritated me but I've never expressed quite as eloquently as you've managed, FR.  Well said.

... some woman rates a "6" or an "8" makes those Olympic ice-skating judges look like rocket scientists.

I never would go on the numeric rating alone.  I would never go on one reviewer's comments alone.  I would never go on.....

What I find interesting is the belief that once a provider is an 8 or a 3 or a 10 or a 6, that is what they are - to everyone and for all time.  Life - let alone this hobby - has never worked that way - Quantum mechanics alone dictates variability in almost every interaction!

Take examples:
A provider, who likes the hobby, has another profession and uses this to "scratch her itch" as much as gain extra income....   She meets hobbyist A - a MCP (male chauvinist pig) who is 5ft 6 in, weighs 275 lbs, is 30 min late for the appointment, greets her with, "hey bitch, I like to slap gals around" and has a bad case of BO with brown and yellow tidy whities...  Type of service she provides?

Case B
A badly abused housewife whose hubby does not bring in enough $$ for expenses.  She does the best she can... meets with a high roller....  who likes her - and tips her well.  Asks (begs) for more time...  and treats her like a queen... Type of service he gets?

While these are somewhat exaggerated, the variations of human encounters are at least infinite...  Which is why, I usually READ the reviews (there are clues both to the personalities and dignity of the provider and the hobbyist in there!) and take into account some review of the scores - 10 ratings at 8-9 and one 5?  Someone is out of sync.

As I stated in the beginning - people do tend to gravitate to a numerical agreement - but the mileage for an individual does vary.....   Even when I have gone to the same provider over time, the feeling (experience) I have does not remain the same.  With some, I become more impressed, with others, I become less so....   Does everyone like Wayne Newton?  Clearly he appeals to someone!  cause in Vegas - the man is a god.
