I think it's realistic.

I'm under no illusion as to the marital status of most of my clientele.  IF they want to talk to me about it, i have zero issue with it, for the most part.  If it's a bitchfest, leave it at the door.  Quite frankly, I don't care enough, and I'm not good at offering life advice.  If it's in passing or its because you and your wife have an understanding/great relationship/happy times together, I'm totally down.  In fact, I really enjoy knowing that my clients have great home lives.

I think its just human nature to want to share those parts of your life with someone you've just been intimate with. As long as it's a relatively positive conversation, there's no issue to be had. :)

Thought this would be a better thread on the Newbie Board rather than GD.    We know a lot of guys are turned off by any kind of talk about other clients, boyfriends, etc.   We also know that rudeness, lack of hygiene, etc. are turn offs for the ladies.

I was reflecting this weekend and I realize that I bring up my wife a lot, even in my posts.     In my context, I am not doing this to run away from my wife and whether I think of her or not does not bring any less enjoyment to me during a session, I have made peace with what I do.   Nonetheless, as I reflect, I am beginning to think that I probably should not refer to my wife during the sessions, but I was wondering how much of a turn off it is to the ladies?

BTW, my references about my wife are never negative, she is a doll, a doll who happened to marry a guy with happy dick syndrome :)

I do mention that I am married and happy in my P411 profile.   I do that because I think that it gives the ladies a certain sense of peace, at least I think it would to me if I were in their shoes.  (1) lot to lose; (2) stable; and (3) not going to turn around and tell them to run off with me. Lol!

I think, based on my own current perspectives, that us guys can all be very thankful that
there are so many ladies in this business. Without them, a lot of us (men) would be lost, literally.
Not so much because of bad marriages, no...but rather, the intimate side of the marriage that
no longers works due to age, disabilities, etc. Gives us hope that there are still better things
out there, and always a place to go! Love it......thank you ladies......you are all greatly
loved and appreciated. Not my words; from a lot of the Reviews....by the men in your lives.

One in particular fretted about problems with her son and how it related to her divorced ne'er do well husband.  Another is very proud of her daughter who did well in college and is starting out in the world.  I am always flattered that they share and  in a way seek relief, commiseration, acknowledgment, or respect in sharing, and of course it adds a human touch to our ephemeral "relationship".  Never had anyone ask or obviously look at my wedding ring, but a few were succinctly kind when I mentioned -- briefly and without drama -- that it sure is nice to get sex for a change because it ain't happening at home.

When a provider asks me about my life and shares some of what's happening in her life e.g. with children and/or SO, it's a sign that she thinks of me as a human being and not just an envelope.

it seems inevitable that when I treat a provider as though she is a real human being, she responds by treating me as though I'm a human, too.   (Works well in the supermarket, too!)

... but not always.  :(   There's something called the "golden rule" that covers this kind of thing I think.  :)

I've never worn a wedding ring so the tell tale signs aren't there. I've had some ladies ask, one slightly crazy one ask me to divorce my wife to marry her. If it comes up it isn't likely from me. I imagine that many ladies can just tell.

So ladies can you tell?

What gives us away?

as long as you are a good client. In my case I am often asked about my wife, since many providers don't typically run into hobbyists like myself. I don't mind talking about it AFTER our session.....to bring it up before or (god forbid) during would be very awkward for me, and ultimately her as well. In the end as long as a hobbyist is a respectful client, he or she can prolly talk about whatever they want to...within reason, of course ;)

Talking about your wife just means you are talking about a huge part of your life. I enjoy being shared with.
